Jeremy Swayman’s bounce-back season has made him a finalist for the Vezina Trophy as the NHL’s top goalie.
The league announced Wednesday that the Bruins goalie was chosen as one of the three finalists along with Ilya Sorokin of the New York Islanders and Andrei Vasilevskiy of the Tampa Bay Lightning.

The award is voted on by NHL general managers.
Swayman, who will try to become Boston ’s first Vezina winner since Linus Ullmark , had a 31-18-4 record with a 2.71 goals-against average, a .908 save percentage and two shutouts this season.
Only four Bruins goalies have ever won the Vezina: Ullmark (2023), Tuukka Rask (2014), Tim Thomas (2011, 2009) and Pete Peeters (1983).
