Marco Sturm felt good about Mark Kastelic, but less so about Viktor Arvidsson as the Bruins start to prepare for Game 6 on Friday night against the Sabres at TD Garden.
Sturm met with the media in the team’s hotel in Buffalo on Wednesday morning before flying back to Boston . He was asked if Arvidsson, who missed the Bruins’ 2-1 overtime win in Game 5 with a upper-body injury, might be back for Game 6.
“It’s going to be hard. We’ll see where he’s at tomorrow. He’s definitely day-to-day, but it’s going to be hard,” said Sturm, who later characterized Arvidsson’s mindset. “He always wants to play. He’s very frustrated. He wants to be a big part of it.”
Sturm didn’t have an official medical update on Mark Kastelic , who played through pain caused by a blocked shot and several collisions in Game 5.
“I saw him this morning, but he was completely fine. Guys are having treatments right, but he looks good,” Sturm said. “I’ll have to check with him.”
The Bruins won’t skate on Wednesday. They’ll practice on Thursday before playing on Friday.
