Conscious & Intuitive Birthing, (also known as Hypnobirthing), is a holistic, fulfilling approach to birth for couples. Taught by Nikki, the course is 5 sessions long and covers a wide range of evidence-based information. Through deep relaxation, special breathing and visualization techniques, you will release fear and trust in your body's ability to birth. It is based on the belief that severe discomfort does not need to be a natural accompaniment of birthing when a woman is properly prepared and trusts her birthing body. Birth is normal, natural, and healthy; it is not a medical event. It is a rite of passage. Partners play an integral part in this experience, partly because a goal of HypnoBirthing is to cultivate respect for the right of families to bring their babies into the world in a gentle, calm way.
