Bancroft Tower

Quietly tucked among the gorgeous historic houses in Worcester, it can be easy to miss the Bancroft Tower, but this place is definitely worth a visit. Erected at the start of the 20th Century in memory of American historian and statesman, George Bancroft, this 56-foot (17-meter) natural stone and granite tower is designed to look like a miniature feudal castle. Vandalism has resulted in the actual access to the tower being restricted but the grounds surrounding it are well-maintained making it a perfect place to have a picnic or just take in the quiet, beautiful atmosphere. The Bancroft Tower was included in the National Register of Historical Places in 1980.

Salisbury Mansion

Salisbury Mansion in Worcester dates back to the year 1772. The historic structure was commissioned by Stephen Salisbury. It now functions as a popular history museum of the city.

Henry Goulding House

The Henry Goulding House perfectly represents the Italianate architecture that was prevalent in the 19th Century. Included in the U.S. National Register of Historic Places, it houses the Swedish Lutheran Home for the Aged.
