William E. Ward House or Ward's Castle was constructed way back in 1870s. This was an exemplary construction to support the theory that reinforced concrete can be utilised as a construction material. In 1976, it was added to the National Register of Historic Places and was also declared as a National Historic Civil and Concrete Engineering Landmark by the American Concrete Institute and American Society of Civil Engineers.

The Benjamin P. Westervelt House is the home of Benjamin P. Westervelt, a soldier who fought in the Revolutionary War. This Dutch Colonial style mansion was built in 1808, and is added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1983.
