A tribute to Charles Carroll, Carroll Park is a pleasant park in the bustling Brooklyn neighborhood. Divided in three sections, the park has recreational and sports facilities for visitors. The areas are spacious, and there are benches and shady trees for families to relax and enjoy the serenity of the peaceful surroundings. The children and teens have plenty of play areas, biking paths and there are three basketball courts, a bocce court and a baseball diamond too! During summer, visitors can cool off with the sprinklers and there are various happenings like children's concerts and other community events that take place on a regular basis. The Carroll Greenmarket, held right across the park, is a much loved place for visitors to shop on some fresh produce.
Nestled in the Tribeca neighborhood, Washington Market Park is located close to Hudson River. This lush green park features several gardens, a basketball court, a gazebo and a children’s playground. Opened in 1983, this park is named after the old wholesale market. Events like concerts, movie nights and parades are often held here.
