Randall's Island Park hosts a variety of shows and events all year round. Many concerts and festivals take place here so there's always something for everyone in the family. The island is being developed as a sports and recreational facility. The Randall's Island Sports Foundation strives toward hosting programs for the children with community sponsoring. Once a radio transmission tower, now a recreational park, the WNYC Transmission Park adorns natural beauty with its spectacular waterfront location and green spaces. Opened in 2012, the park provides ample of recreational activities for children as well as adults. A separate play area for the kids, the park also has designated spaces for fishing, seating and walking. Excellent for spending time with the family, you can also enjoy the magnificent view of the Manhattan skyline and East River.
