Terra Cotta Warrior located in the Outer Sunset District in San Francisco is one of the first restaurants in the city to specialize in food from the Shaanxi province in China. Opened by David Deng, an owner of several Chinese-American restaurants spent over five years trying to start a restaurant serving the cuisine of his birthplace. He was able to lure a chef from Los Angeles to create a menu dominated by flatbreads and hand pulled noodles which are unique to the Shaanxi region.
