Black Cat Bistro

The Black Cat is a chef-owned farm-to-table bistro serving modern French and American cuisine. Chef/Farmer Eric Skokan creates inspired dishes by employing the careful technique and preparation of local and seasonal ingredients. The restaurant's 42 acre farm grows over 250 different fruits and vegetables and serves as an incubator for the further development of 'Front Range' cuisine. Enjoy the a la carte menu or try the chef's selected five or seven course tasting menus (gluten-free, vegan, and vegetarian options available). The award-winning wine list features artisan selections from around the world, focusing on small-production wines with an extensive selection of Colorado's best wine makers.

Foolish Craig's Cafe

This adorable café, bedecked in a menagerie of colors, sits one block east of the Pearl Street Mall. Its lively atmosphere and cluttered tables promote conversation. Most of the menu items come with creative names, such as the Altitude Adjustment crepe and the It was Sam Andreas Fault omelet. Vegetarian dishes are plentiful. A full espresso bar offers a multitude of caffeine fixations, and a range of beers and wines. Live music plays Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays.

Izakaya Amu

Amu is a small Japanese bistro and sake bar located just off of the west end of the Pearl Street Mall. Amu's location means that it is easy to get to, but just out of the way enough that it is not as busy as the rest of that popular stretch of downtown Boulder. The menu is authentic Japanese; it features sushi and sashimi and a few appetizers, perfect for a quick meal and a drink rather than a huge feast. The drink menu is impressive, including both a large selection of sake and Japanese drinks as well as wine and local brews. Another benefit is that all of the food is a la carte, so it's extremely affordable.

Located just at the end of the Pearl Street Mall, with ample parking and seating space, groups of all sizes can easily show up at the door and be seated with minimal wait. Centro sets itself apart from other local Mexican restaurants by changing its menu monthly depending on what foods are in season, holiday festivities, and chef experiments. The restaurant also hosts event for nearly every holiday; Labor Day specials, Halloween fiestas, Cinco de Mayo and Dia de los muetros celebrations, the works! For a good, filling meal in a fun, party-filled atmosphere, Centro is an excellent choice to end your day on Pearl Street.
