The Buff Restaurant

The Buff Restaurant, is one of Boulder's older restaurants and considered one of the best breakfast spots in town. Its named after the university mascot, and here the friendly owners offer affordable breakfasts alongside southwestern and traditional American lunches. Many of the burgers are made with Bison instead of beef, however both are available upon request, and if you've never tried Bison before, it's a healthier alternative to beef and some say tastes better! The breakfasts are delicious and huge, the staff friendly and prompt even during rushes, and overall, The Buff is simply one of the best restaurants in Boulder.

What makes OAK at Fourteenth stand apart from other restaurants? It's the fact that restaurant uses an oak-fired oven and grill, giving the food that distinct, smoky taste. Lucile's Creole Cafe

This quaint restaurant near the Pearl Street Mall is nestled in a Victorian house complete with a large porch and deck. The staff is friendly, and the food is wonderful. Make sure to get here early on weekends, as the place is always packed. Flagstaff House Restaurant

If romance is on the agenda, head up into the hills to the Flagstaff House for a dining experience like no other. Built in 1929 as a retreat cabin, the spot resides on the side of the eponymous mountain and it overlooks Boulder and the surrounding foothills. The dining area is the epitome of sophistication and mountain elegance, highlighted by a greenhouse-like glass dining pavilion that provides stunning views. The main courses include offerings such as grilled Alaskan King Salmon and Buffalo Filet Mignon. Jax Fish House & Oyster Bar

Thanks to a fishing trawler called “Overnight Delivery,” this restaurant is able to serve some of the freshest seafood in town. The daily happy hour(s) from 4-6pm everyday feature 1.25USD East Coast Oysters and 5USD cocktails. The dining room is bedecked in wharf decor and can get quite small and crowded at this time. Both the catfish, which comes blackened or grilled, and the tuna, which is a thick center of Mahi served rare, are popular dishes recommended by locals.
