In March of 2010 a company named Wolfgang, Inc. purchased Amedeos. The corporation is lead by President David Harris. The company has continued with the same DeAngelis family recipes and have added new Italian dishes to the menu. Amedeos continues to support NCSU and remains a Raleigh Wolfpack Tradition. After extensive upgrading of the kitchen and bathrooms, remodeling the bar to include several large screen TVs and touching up the dining rooms, Amedeo's reopened in early March. In January 2011, David and Jill DeAngelis Parker became minority shareholders in the group to show their support for keeping the tradition going and growing. So, stop by any day of the week and enjoy all that Amedeo's has to offer.
Featured in The Raleigh Museum as a business that built Raleigh, the Mecca Restaurant is an established Raleigh landmark. Simply put, if you haven’t been to the Mecca, you haven’t been to downtown Raleigh. The original neon sign still serves as a beacon to those looking for some great comfort food.
