Did the Rams make the right call drafting Ty Simpson?
The crew from Yahoo Sports Draft Live react to the Rams selecting Ty Simpson in the first round of the NFL Draft.

The Rams just took Ty Simpson, quarterback from Alabama.
Reportedly, Matthew Stafford was called today and- he was given a heads-up.
Les Snead told me then, "Yes, we're, we think that Matthew will be on board with this.
We're, we'll take care of the money."
And he said right then, "Matthew can play as long as he wants.
We think he's got more than one year left in him."
This was obviously going into the 2025 season.
He's like, "If we take a first-round quarterback, we're okay being patient because we have someone that's already elite at the position, and it just means we can take our time with the next player.
Sean McVay can really work to mold him, into, you know, where he needs to be in that offensive system."
So I They have been looking at this and, and, you know, putting a person in that room with Matthew Stafford going back to, to last off-season.
So this, I don't think this is a huge surprise.
They'll pay Stafford, and Sean McVay, I can just tell you from conversations leading up to this draft, Sean McVay was going to make it abundantly clear if they were gonna take a quarterback, "Matthew, we are not pushing you out.
You are going to be here as long as you wanna be here."
