I'm very excited to talk to you both.
Keenan, I'm gonna start with you here.
I'm actually a, a receiver guy.
That's the- Okay ... position I study the most.
Yeah.
I do a charting series called Reception Perception, where I go route by route, s- how often you guys get open against man, zone, press coverage, try to find roles within the position.
'Cause you know this as a long-time veteran, like, one wide receiver's not the same as the other.
It's a very different position group there.
Mm-hmm.
Absolutely.
I think, I think that's, that's really what brings us all together.
Yeah.
The, the different, you know, the characteristics, the personalities, the way we do things, the way we think about things, that's what brings us together, and then we, you know, bring it all together in the, in the meeting room and talk about it.
yeah, we My wingman, so- Exactly.
I mean, there's 50 different ways to run a, run a choice route, run a cross route- Exactly ... whatever.
So, you, you know, different players, different styles.
You have your go-tos, obviously, but being able to like, you know, Keenan coming back- ... being able to watch him, feed off him, talk to him about routes, I think that's what, you know, what he said makes everybody special, and really what made our, you know, receiver room, click this year.
I was gonna say, Ladd, like, I've never spoken to Keenan before, but every receiver I've interviewed, I'm like, "Okay, who's, like, your favorite guy to watch?
You know, who's the veteran that you- Yeah ... you, you learn things from?"
It's like, "Keenan Allen.
Keenan Allen."
He's like your favorite receiver's favorite receiver.
Absolutely.
So I'm sure for you it was a big influence getting him in the room.
Yeah, absolutely.
Like, I, I told him, like, when he was with the, with the Bears that one year- Yeah ...
I would go back and watch, like, practice clips from 2020, 2021- ... and watch, like, one-on-ones.
Yeah.
Be like, "I, I better take this out on the field and see what I can do with it."
but then him come back, obviously his, his play speak for himself.
just, like, his selflessness- Mm-hmm ... the way that I was able to talk to him, him just pour knowledge into me, kinda take me under his wing, it, it was huge for me.
And Keenan, what's something you've seen from Ladd with one year being with him?
Yeah, I, I've been saying it, saying it a lot, his knowledge.
Yeah.
the guy knows ball, you know.
He know- he knows what he's doing, he knows his spots.
He knows how, he wants to run things, and, you know, being the, being the manipulator, being the paint- the painter of the picture- ... is, you know, special.
You know, and not a lot of guys have it.
