Everyone on this show knows this.

You probably don't know this, nor should you, but two years ago when I came to NBC, one of the first things- I do every year, I name one player my ride or die, my fantasy football ride or die.

Yeah.

The guy that I'm planting my flag on and saying, "This is the guy I'm drafting in every single league."

Amon-Ra St. Brown was my ride or die two years ago.

You had a monster year.

You made me look smart- -so thank you.

Yeah.

I owe you, very much.

As Jay Croucher will tell you, it's not always easy to make me look smart.

but, earlier today, Amon-Ra, so I wanna start with you here.

On, Pro Football Talk, Cooper DeJean said you're one of the toughest guys to guard in this league.

What do you think separates you from other wide receivers?

you know, that's a good question.

I don't know.

I feel like there's so many good receivers in this league nowadays, different body frames, different playing styles.

I feel like the game has changed, evolved so much from 10 years ago.

I mean, you got these fast motions, just different offenses.

I, I don't know.

I feel like, you know, everyone does stuff differently.

so, you know, just honored that, that he would say something like that.

I feel like, like I said, there's so many receivers in this league that are, to me, that are elite, that can do stuff at, at a high level.

So I think the league is in good hands with the type of receivers we got nowadays.

Yep.

Penei, a bit of a new look offensive line this year.

How'd you feel like the younger guys, like Tight and Christian, developed over the course of the year?

I mean, yeah, I think they did a good job.

long season, especially as a rookie.

You go from, college, and after college, you're in the draft process.

So for him personally, I know it was a long year, and then Christian getting another year under his belt, is- it was good for him.

But now we have a new offensive coordinator- Yeah ... so it's kind of almost we're starting all over again, but it's a good thing 'cause we'll all go through it together.

Yep.

Well, I wanna follow up on that.

So Drew Petschick named the new offense coordinator of the Detroit Lions, formerly, with Arizona.

Have either of you guys had a chance to talk with Coach Petschick?

Has he given you any thoughts as to what he's gonna bring to the Lions' offense?

Yeah, uh- I know he just got there, but- Yeah, when he, got signed and all, he, he gave me a call.

I think one of the coaches shared the number.

So yeah, we just had a quick phone call, a quick introduction, and, yeah, that was about it.

Yeah, same.

He called me real quick after he got hired.

Just wanted to introduce himself, say he's excited to work with us.

I told him, you know, I'm excited for him to be, to be with us, and that was really it.

And so, and honestly, just waiting to get, to get to work with him when we get back to Detroit, and just learn the offense and get back to work.

Yep.

Amon-Ra, Jameson Williams got all the talent in the world.

He had a bit of a slow start to the season, but seemed like he's really coming on towards the end of the year.

What have you seen from him kind of develop, just through last year and also just across his career?

I mean, Jamo is Jamo.

We all know what he is.

He- You know, people ask me all the time, you know, "W- what are you gonna see from Jamo this year?

What do you expect from him?"

Jamo is Jamo.

He's here, he's arrived.

You guys have seen what he can, he can do.

he's a, he's a superstar in this league.

He's, he's one of our You know, I tell everyone we're wide receiver 1A and 1B.

There's not no 1 or no 2, and so, you know, I couldn't do what I do without him.

And so, you know, we're, we're lucky to have a guy like him on our team.

He's a, he's a, he's a beast, he's a superstar, he's explosive.

He's everything that we, you know, we need in Detroit, and so Jamo is Jamo, man.

We all know what he can do.

Forty-yard run, forty-yard dash.

Who wins in a race, Jamo or Jahmyr?

Or you?

No, not me.

that's a great question.

I mean, we could probably ask Penei, too.

I, I wonder what he thinks, but if you were to ask me, I would say That's tough.

A forty-yard dash, it would be close.

the thing with Jamo is he's so fast, and he gets faster.

Like, believe it or not, he's still getting faster after forty yards.

Yeah, yeah.

Yep.

Jahmyr gets top speed in, like, two steps, so, like- Yeah ... his acceleration's insane.

I think the forty would be close, but if you said a hundred meter, I'd probably take Jamo.

Jamo, okay.

Jamo.

Yeah.

Just so you know, we had David Montgomery on earlier, and he punted on the question.

He was just like, "I don't know, ten times, one wins five, but the other wins five."

Yeah.

So I like the fact that you guys made a call.

I appreciate that, as well.

Amon-Ra, you host a very popular podcast, with your brother.

How are we doing so far?

What, what, what- any tips you can give us, uh- -with our show?

You guys are doing amazing.

I see you guys got the rundown, you got the scripts.

Yeah.

I mean, you guys probably know it better than I do.

It's, it's, it's, it's harder than it looks, you know, being able to, to transition into questions and stuff like that.

So I've been learning as I've been going.

It's been fun, though.

When you have guests on, like him and, and other guys- Yeah ... it makes the, it makes the show fun.

So, you know, I've, I've been having fun with it for the past three or four years, so I'm, I'm just, I'm just keep running with it.

we, we love it.

Congratulations on the success of it.

Penei, the Dan Campbell that we see in the public is such, like, a cinematic figure, the speeches that he gives.

Is he the same behind the scenes as what, what Dan is like?

Yeah, he's, he's like that every single time, and, I think that's what makes him, who he is and why we gravitate towards him so easily.

Yeah.

Like, that type of energy is very authentic, and it's real.

And, when you see it each and every day, and you don't see a change at all, it's just hard not to follow a guy like that.

Yep.

Did you find that he was still the same guy throughout the season, even with a few more struggles this year?

Yeah.

I mean, again, whatever was thrown our way this year, he remained the same.

And, yeah, he's always gonna be Dan Campbell, so I wanna talk about this game on Sunday.

I'm curious what you guys think, right?

Penei, specifically for you, Patriots' offensive line have really struggled, to protect Drake May, this pr- especially in this postseason.

So I'm curious how you see this game playing out, especially in the trenches.

And then I'll ask you, Amon-Ra, same thing.

This game features one of the other best wide receivers in the NFL in JSN.

I mean, you know, Diggs is no slouch.

I mean, there's- Right ... should be a great game on Sunday, so I'd love to know how you guys see this playing out.

yeah, I mean, I think the Patriots early on will try to get the ball out, try to get the O line kind of hands-on quick and kind of just feel out the game.

heck, because Se- Se- the Seattle Seahawks have a really good front all across the board.

And so I think, yeah, running the ball will be really crucial in this one, so- yeah, I mean, I think that will be the game plan, but again, I'm not the coach.

I mean, and then just talking about the skill players, I mean, I think JSN, like you said, has had a phenomenal year, probably the offensive player of the year.

I mean, watching him all year has been, I- watch- I've been a fan.

I mean, he's been doing stuff that I feel like a lot of receivers wish they can do, and he makes it look so easy.

So, I mean, he has a good match-up, though.

He's going against, you know, Christian Gonzalez, who I think is really good, too.

Carlton Davis, you know, I love Carlton.

He played with us last year.

Awesome dude, who's also a really good corner.

So I, I think they got some good guys.

I like Rasheed Shaheed, I like Cooper Kupp, so I like the Seahawks receivers.

I think, you know, talking about the Patriots wideouts, like you said, Stefon Diggs, Butte, Douglas, they got Hunter Henry.

They got some young guys like Kyle Williams that can go, I feel like, that are kind of They remind me of the Packers a little.

They got receivers that you don't really, you know, they're all- they're young- Matt Collins.

You don't really- Matt Collins, you don't really, you know, haven't heard of them besides Stefon Diggs.

Yeah.

But they, they can go out there, and they can ball, they can make plays, and so But the Seahawks defense is legit, too.

So it's- I think it's gonna be a good game.

I just think the Seahawks have a little bit more firepower than the Patriots.

and I might be a little biased.

I'm a s- you know, Sam Darn went to USC.

I'm a USC guy, so I'm going with the Hawks on this one.

Cool, I like it.

Penei, are you taking the Hawks, too?

Yeah, I think, yeah, I have the Seahawks with them right now.

Okay.

Last question for me, you guys are with Bounty at Radio Row.

What do we need to know?

Obviously, I'm here with my wingman, Penei Sewell.

Yep.

you know, we're here at Radio Row.

Super Bowl is this Sunday.

You know, I'll be here throughout the whole week, but I am going home early Sunday morning.

I will not be watching the Super Bowl here in, in Santa Clara.

I'm going back home with my family to watch the game, where there'll be a lot of wings, bone-in, that is.

Yep.

and there will be a lot of Bounty paper towels hanging around because, you know, obviously, if you eat wings, there's no wings without, you know, Bounty.

So, I'm looking forward to it.

It's gonna be a good game.

I can't wait.

mine's simple.
