Kenyon Sadiq is the perfect 'buy-low' TE in 2026

It comes down to, like, where you get him in the drafts.
And so Sadiq right now is falling.
Like, he's into the 160s.
So you're telling me I'm gonna get a first-round talent with the ac- athletic profile as Kenyon Sadiq.
Like, I'm just Y- you had me at hello.
I'm just gonna be in, right, on that kind of a profile.
And so I think Sadiq right now, I'm at, like, 19%.
And it is tough 'cause you've got Omar Cooper Jr., you've got Garrett Wilson, you've got Adonai Mitchell getting, you know, all of this buzz out of camp.
You've got, you know, a second-round pick in Mason Taylor that you spent, you know, on, in last year's draft, you know, with the Jets.
So there's a lot of ways it doesn't work out with Sadiq, so it's not like necessarily you're hanging your hat on it.
But man, he goes so late in drafts, Boone.
Like, I think that's the thing that I look at.
And we know what happens once these fantasy seasons starts.
What if Omar Cooper Jr. is a bust?
That opens up the door for Kenyon Sadiq.
What if Garrett Wilson gets an injury?
That opens up the door for Kenyon Sadiq.
So sometimes we can, I think we can get overly focused, right, on, you know, the way these things project, and I'm a big projections guy.
I run the projections for fantasy life.
Like, I love doing them.
It's one of those things that's, like, kind of my sick thing that my wife looks in here and says, "Just, what a complete nerd you are," and I'm just in here in heaven.
Like, just love doing the projection stuff.
And it's tough with Sadiq when you're just trying to project him.
But when I think about ranking him and I think about where he goes, he's the same kind of archetype as these, as some of the other players we've talked about, but we obviously have more questions about the offense.
Can Geno Smith bounce back, like, at all?
Can he just become, like, a below average quarterback instead of really being terrible?
And I think that's fair.
That's a really good question.
You also have Breece Hall who's a good receiver out of the backfield.
So there's a lot of mouths to feed here.
But the way I've historically thought about fantasy is if, like, you're gonna give me a player like Kenyon Sadiq that late in drafts, I'm gonna do it.
Like, if you told me I had to take Kenyon Sadiq at, like, pick, you know, 100, that's gonna be a lot tougher for me to deal with.
Yeah.
But whenever he's falling down draft boards, and part of that is due to the guys he's dealing with, the, the hernia surgery, so he hasn't been practicing.
And so I think that's also part of why he's moving down draft boards.
But I've just been buying him while he's dropping.
You know?
And we'll see what happens in training camp, you know.
If he's out there and he's practicing.
You know, the other thing, Boone, is it takes one highlight from a player like this.
Just one.
One highlight.
That's true.
And, like, minimum half round to a full round of ADP jump if in, like, the second week of the preseason they're like, "Whoa, did you see that 40-yard run after the catch by Kenyon Sadiq?"
People are gonna lose their minds.
Yeah, I think there's a good chance with these guys, and I've talked about this before, about the idea of, like, sometimes the deeper rookies, the guys that go a little bit later in fantasy drafts in their first year, people draft them, they have them on their bench, they're hoping they see something early in the season.
And they cut 'em.
And if they don't, these guys often end up on the waiver wire.
And I could totally see these two getting cut after the first month or even after the first few weeks if they're not producing.
And then someone else goes and picks them up, and as the year goes along, like you're talking about, they get opportunity and boom, they end up finishing the season strong and end up being meaningful fantasy assets.
So that's something to keep in mind too.
Even if we don't see it right away from them, we definitely could see them come on as the year goes along.
