Jets TE Kenyon Sadiq can win NFL Rookie of the Year

Video Transcript

I know it sounds wrong to say because he's a tight end, but Jets rookie Kenyon Sadiq has Rookie of the Year potential in twenty twenty-six.

What's up, y'all?

It's Ross Johnston with ABC Sports, and I think everyone in Jets land got a little nervous when Kenyon Sadiq had to undergo a hernia surgery.

But again, he's going to be ready for training camp.

He's going to be ready to go.

The Jets got the best tight end by far in the twenty twenty-six NFL Draft, and Kenyon Sadiq has a great combo of size, speed, athleticism, hands.

He's got the route running as well.

He did a lot of great things at Oregon.

And obviously, you see here, Frank Reich, Jets new offensive coordinator, views him as a mismatch, and he should because he is.

He is a rare breed of a tight end coming into the NFL.

We don't see guys built like him very often.

Now, the bottom of this tweet talking about the mega upside could be questionable in a Geno Smith-led offense.

Maybe so.

Maybe.

Who knows?

But I'll tell you this, Kenyon Sadiq is a quarterback's best friend.

Geno Smith, Cade Klubnik, Brady Cook, Bailey Zappi, whoever is back there slinging the rock this year for the New York Jets will have a safe target in Kenyon Sadiq, who can turn nothing into something real quick.

And again, I think he has potential to be Rookie of the Year.
