And it might be a miss a-and I think that's what the Wolves are doing here.

The Wolf-- Minnesota undeniably here, Tim Conley has never been afraid to take big swings, and that's what this is.

It is a big swing.

They're going for a home run here, and it's possible it just falls short at the warning track.

I-it's possible he swings and misses and it's a strikeout, and one year from now we're talking about Anthony Edwards, where he's gonna go, him and LaMelo.

It didn't work out.

LaMelo played 25 games or the, just the chemistry wasn't there as they had anticipated it being.

We don't know.

We can't predict the future here, and neither can Tim Conley, who w- runs the Wolves front office.

But ultimately I think that's what I appreciate with this deal.

I appreciate the courage going for LaMelo Ball here 'cause I think this raises Minnesota's ceiling.

Without a doubt, LaMelo Ball raises the ceiling of the Minnesota Timberwolves, but he also dramatically lowers the floor considering everything that can go wrong with him off court, on court, with injuries, the risks he takes on court as well, the way things collapsed in Charlotte.

There's a chance that this just-- they're a first round exit.

They, they're a seven seed.

They're in the play-in.

There's a chance of that.

However, with the way it raises the ceiling, alleviates pressure off of Anthony Edwards with that Minnesota offense facing so many double teams, this does raise their ceiling to a point that I think they could be pretty special.

They just need to round out the rest of their roster here and figure things out
