It is on the surface really not that surprising.
Let's just talk from a financial standpoint.
If I'm your financial advisor, okay, and let's say it's $6 million, which I believe is what this bonus, the deferred bonus is.
Would you rather let your employer hold that $6 million bonus, or even with today's market volatility, wouldn't you rather hold that $6 million bonus and you invest it in whatever vehicle you want?
That- that's the common sense financial planning here.
So when the Browns moved that bonus back, you knew something was up.
I, I did not expect the trade this off-season.
I, I thought that this would give them more flexibility to do the trade before the pivotal 2027 draft.
Mm-hmm.
But alas, here we are, and the Rams go all in.
They badly, badly, badly, all 32 teams wanna win, but they badly wanna be in the Super Bowl again in their own building.
It's at SoFi this year.
They made the McDuffie trade, they made this trade.
Forget about the Ty Simpson thing.
They badly wanna win this year.
And for the Browns, I think the biggest thing for the fans is they had in their mind that they were gonna get three first-round picks, which I don't think was that likely, but at a minimum- Yeah two.
You and I both know that Jared Verse is basically like getting a second number one, but it's not actually a second number one.
It's a really- Yeah really, really, really good player.
So it's gonna be basically two ones, a two, and a three, which is a great return.
But Browns fans, I think, are gonna view it, and, and they need to change their thinking on, hey, this is a one, a guy that we know is good, but, like, I'd rather have the pick, and then a two and a three
