Calshe has the 2027 baseball season start date here, Tom.
There's a lot of different options here.
I think that if you look at it, you probably are diving into the potential of a March start- April start, June, July.
Like, I, I hate to even go that far here.
I'm hoping for April, but my understanding is, is that the players do not get paid and start missing checks until April.
So that's my fear here.
Yeah, I would say this is, it's an interesting market.
Are you Are we banking on a lockout?
Do we think a lockout will technically happen?
Yes.
Do we think that will impact next season?
That is to be determined.
Before April 30th, you wanna get the season underway.
I, I, I, again, I have been on the record as saying I truly believe we will ha- we will have a 162 game season next year.
Doesn't mean it starts exact- exactly on March 25th or 27th or 28th or whatever it is, on that Thursday, I don't know, but I think we get going relatively normal next year and we play a full 162.
Games in the 2027 season.
Now, this is a tough one here to navigate through.
So there's 2,430 total games in a normal 162 game season.
I, I, I think that number is gonna be where I'm gonna go here on CalShe.
I, I still think somehow they're able to, fit this in.
You could see 73% there, 91%.
I How do you feel, Tom, about this?
Do you think we lose games?
That would be the prediction here.
I don't.
I, I really don't.
And maybe they're ha- Again, if they don't start on time, they start on April 15th or April 30th, so be it.
Do they try to jam in some extra double headers as we've seen in, in years past?
Do they, you know, do the shortened double headers, whatever it might be?
I, again, I, I think, I think they play a full 162.
That's what it comes down to.
That's been my stance for months.
I will continue to believe that in, until there's some material change.
This is all speculation about the CBA ending, it starting, it getting changed, and then having a new season with pitchers and catchers.
I think they play a full season next year.

How about, managers being fired over, on CalShe, Major League Baseball managers?
Now, this, this one we could have got in on a couple weeks ago.
It's too late now.
Joe Espada didn't exactly get, Tom, the vote of confidence from Tom Crane here.
I, I would assume he's gonna be let go at the end of the season, unless the Astros, I don't know, win a playoff game.
I guess that would probably have to be it.
Curt Suzuki, of course, that's an easy one.
This is surprising.
I would bet the no on, AJ Hinch.
42% on AJ Hinch with Detroit.
I, I, I don't personally see that happening.
We talked about this last week, and the thing that we said last week is what I'll say again this week.
It's like, the answer is yes for multiple managers.
It's not just one.
Like, this is not just a market where you, you only have to pick one or you only can pick one.
It's like Joe Espada, Dan Wilson, Curt Suzuki.
We, we could be looking at multiple options here.
You know, further down the list is, like, you know, what happens with Terry Francona?
Does, does he stick around for one more year?
Do they wanna go in a new direction, you know, after what has been a disappointing season?
So I would say yes on at least the top three of Espada, Wilson, and Suzuki.
We're gonna see multiple managers lose their jobs in the off-season.
