Devin Achane has been one of the most discussed fantasy football players this off season, Denny Carter, because of his contract.
Well, that part can at least be put to bed.
Heading into the final year of his rookie deal, no more.
Achane has a four-year, $64 million contract extension.
really good news for the young running back.
Is it good news for fantasy players, Denny?
Mike McDaniel, of course, gone.
That really fantasy-friendly offense gone.
A lot of the talent gone.
Malik Willis, dual threat quarterback, is in.
to what degree is this Dolphins offense gonna revolve around a now paid Devin Achane in 2026?
Yeah, we like to see a running back get paid.
It doesn't happen all that often, and Achane certainly deserved it, you know, being one of the most efficient pass-catching backs and rushing running backs over the past few years, in Miami.
The setup is not as good this y- going into this year, and that has a lot to do with Mike McDaniel being out of town, now with the Chargers.
and then, you know, Tua being gone.
You know, Tua was a check-down machine, a guy who would happily feed the ball to his short area targets.
That included Devon Achane.
And Malik Willis, I don't know if he's gonna do that, you know?
And, and so I, I am a little bit skeptical about whether Achane has that same sort of PPR-based pass-catching upside in this offense.
Saying that, there's not a lot of talent in this offense, so he is gonna get the ball quite a lot this year.
Not a lot of talent, and a humongous amount of commitment to the young man.
They've been speaking about him all off season long as someone they wanted to build around.
They've now put their money where their mouth is.
