The Alabama Crimson Tide will finally be back on the grass this Saturday against ECU, and all everyone wants to know is who exactly is going to be playing in this game.
I'm Rob Grajcsdon of A To Z Sports Alabama.
Please be sure to like, follow, subscribe, stay up-to-date with all of the news, just like what we received on Monday from offensive coordinator Ryan Grub.
When asked about the availability of certain offensive players, of course, EJ Crowell, five-star freshman running back, highly, highly anticipated player, was going to be brought up, and Ryan Grub had some really good news.
As you can see in this post from Nick Kelly, Grub said, quote, "Yeah, we do expect to see Ry-," or excuse me, "Expect to see EJ Crowell out there week one against ECU."
And this is some major, major news for Alabama because we know that that running back room is dinged up.
Of course, the player who was getting the starting reps for the majority of fall camp, AK Dear, is out probably somewhere between four to six weeks with an ankle injury.
And Crowell really has been dinged up ever since he got to Tuscaloosa, to be quite honest with you.
Didn't get to see him much in the spring because of an injury, had some lingering stuff into the summer.
Fall camp comes around, same thing.
But it appears that he is officially raring to go.
He's ready to go out and make his debut against ECU on Saturday.
Of course, everyone's gonna wanna watch what's going on with Keylon Russell, but EJ Crowell is gonna be a name to watch for the Alabama Crimson Tide.
As you can see, Grub also said that he's like Wolverine, given how fast he heals.
So really good signs.
Everything pointing towards a debut for Crowell.
You guys let me know in the comments below.
Who are you most excited to see when Alabama steps on the field week one?
