EJ Crowell will be back for the Alabama Crimson Tide sooner rather than later

While there has been a lot of bad news surrounding the Alabama Crimson Tide and their injury situation, of course, starting running back AK Deere, five-star freshman Jordan Edmonds, a defensive back, Ryan Grubb just shared some very good information.
As you can see in this tweet from Charlie Potter of Bama Online at On3, Ryan Grubb said, quote, "I am very optimistic that we're going to be able to get him ready to play and have him out there for week one," when speaking about none other than freshman running back EJ Crowell, who I and a lot of other Alabama people, fans, media are extremely, extremely high on because this guy out of Jackson, Alabama, five-star, one of the best backs in his entire class, he, in my opinion, is SEC ready.
So if you're going to look at that whole injury situation, right, and you have AK Deere, who was getting those first team reps, who was on pace to be the starter for Alabama, he's now out for upwards of six weeks were the reports with his lower body injury.
Who's going to be that starting running back?
Is it going to be Kevin Riley?
Is it going to be Daniel Hill?
Or is it going to be Xavier EJ Crowell?
Now, Crowell's got to have really a big time end to fall camp because we know he didn't play much in the spring with an injury.
He was banged up early on in fall camp.
If he can put together a really solid two to three weeks that are left, get into that ECU week, be fresh, be healthy, look good, I don't think it's a stretch to say that he could be your starting running back in Tuscaloosa come week one.
And even if it's not week one, or even if he doesn't start, Crowell is going to get some carries.
He is going to be featured in this offense.
He's just too good.
He's too good.
He's too dynamic.
He's got too much of a jump cut, too much power, too much explosion, despite the fact that he's a freshman, to not be on the football field for the Alabama Crimson Tide.
So it's just a matter of when, not if, we see Crowell out there.
And this is a very good sign from OC Ryan Grubb.
