Kalen DeBoer on the impact freshmen can make for Alabama in 2026
Alabama head coach Kalen DeBoer talks about the role EJ Crowell and Cederian Morgan could play as true freshmen for the Crimson Tide this season.

I think Ryan's, uh, freshman year was, uh, special, um, big plays that, that he made in big moments.
Uh, you know, um, I think a lot of our freshmen that we, we have recruited, uh, over the last, I guess, the, the last year's class and, and this year's class, I think, uh, You know, guys that come in and be impact players for us.
And so, um, we will need, I, I think we won't need as many impact freshmen this year as we had last year.
Uh, I think you could arguably say there's at least 6 guys that had starter reps, uh, the latter half of the season, um, than the guys that we are counting on as impact players.
Ryan that year as a freshman, uh, was that guy.
And , um, we're gonna need that from those guys, uh, that you mentioned, uh, both EJ and Cedar and I think are, are, are guys that we'll be looking to, uh, that could, could have an impact, uh, that is significant and one that's needed to help our football team.
Um, they put in the work, uh, there.
They're, they're, have a level of urgency, um, knowing that there's an opportunity for them to contribute at a high level, uh, they have the capability as well.
