Blummer, let's start with the Astros.
They were done- after two months.
How are they back in it after winning eight of 10 AL West?
It's been an absolute roller coaster ride.
If you would've asked me that question coming out of the All-Star break, I would've said, "We are selling everybody.
We're gonna try and start this over again."
But as they say, the window never closes in Houston.
They've done a very good job.
You've got the Diesel back at the top of the rotation and a couple of guys getting healthy.
Yordan Alvarez, he's our aircraft carrier.
When he goes, we go.
And then you've got Josh Hader at the back end of the bullpen shutting things down.
It's been a good run.
That's where it starts with San Diego, back end of the bullpen, Mason Miller being that guy, but they win close games late.
But the offense for the San Diego Padres, starting with Fernando Tatis Jr., Jackson Merrill, Manny Machado are starting to go.
Huge Ty France addition in the off-season.
It's provided pitiful offense here of late.
Yeah, i- i- it has been a much better offense for San Diego recently, and they needed it.
But this Padres team, and the Astros as well, it's like both of them kinda can't lose right now.
They've run into each other.
It is a rubber match here today, and this Padres team, a game and a half back of the National League wild card-
