Brian Ortega claims UFC avoids fighters who could ‘whoop us’

Former UFC title challenger Brian Ortega said some elite fighters outside the promotion could defeat UFC athletes, highlighting depth across global organizations. Ortega discussed training with A.J. McKee, who challenges Rajabali Shaidullaev for the Rizin featherweight title and the vacant PFL featherweight title at Super Rizin 5 on Sept. 5 in Osaka, Japan. He characterized the UFC as a marketing machine during an Anatomy of a Fighter appearance. Ortega (16-5) is slated to face Renato "Money" Moicano (21-7) in a rematch at UFC 331 on Sept. 19 at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles. The video focuses on his comments and the upcoming schedule.
