Devin McCourty and Mike Florio react to the A.J. Brown trade finally becoming official, breaking down what the wide receiver brings to the New England Patriots.

There's A.J.
Brown heading into the facility, first day of work, June 2.
We mentioned this yesterday, one of the benefits to doing this deal after June 1, the Patriots still have two more OTAs this week.
They have a full week of OTAs the week of the 8th, and they have their mandatory mini camp the week of the 15th.
There are extended opportunities for A.J.
Brown to get his feet wet in the Josh McDaniels offense.
So one of the reasons why the Patriots weren't clamoring to get this deal done earlier, they understood the Eagles need to wait until after June 1 to manage the cap charge.
The Patriots are fine with it, and the Patriots were content with the confidence, Devin, that somebody else wasn't gonna swoop in and make the Eagles a better offer.
A.J.
Brown wasn't gonna play for anybody else.
And I know he didn't have a no-trade clause.
You don't have to have a no-trade clause when you're A.J.
Brown and someone's gonna give up a first-round pick.
They're not gonna give up a first-round pick for a guy who doesn't wanna be there.
He wanted to go to New England.
This thing was hiding in plain sight for weeks.
We knew it was gonna happen.
I thought they'd maybe wait a couple of days just to mess with this.
But they need to get him up there and get him to work.
Yeah, and there's a excitement and a buzz, a- and I think the last time I was on here, we talked about, in New England, we've never seen guys actively talk about a player and the possibility of what he would bring to the team when he was on another team.
So this was unlike any type of trade, really, that we've seen in the off-season, where you had, you had teams talking about whether him being gone, whether him being on your team.
So i- it's great that this finally got done.
And again, I think the New England Patriots understand, I think especially Josh McDaniels, of what it means to get in there and hear everything he's coaching, what he's saying, and then to have two, three days to go and do it, and then you'll get to go do that, but then you'll also get to go back, and the whole off-season, you're dialed in.
You're talking about it.
You know exactly what is needed, and I think that's the excitement for New England right now.
They know what it's gonna do, and they can't wait to get this guy on the practice field, doing what he's supposed to do, out there having fun.
And again, it g- falls in line with what New England has believed since Vrabel got there.
We're going to bring in guys we're familiar with, and we're gonna have them go out there and play.
This is another guy that played for Mike Vrabel in Tennessee.
All we talked about last year was there was some connection to almost every player they brought in from free agency or trades, all of that, and I think now A.J.
Brown adds that.
And he's gonna be dialed in.
He's gonna, he's gonna wanna prove to everybody it wasn't him in Philadelphia, and he's gonna have that just arrogance, confidence about him to prove, "I am A.J.
Brown.
I am who they say I am.
I'm the guy.
Watch what I do here in New England."
