Hi, everyone, and welcome to Toyota Giants Postgame Live.
Thrilled to have you here alongside the former all-star shortstop, Rich Aurilia.
I'm Kyle Mills, and joining us is Bryce Eldridge, who had an extremely clutch hit during that 10th inning rally.
Bryce, appreciate you joining us.
Congratulations on the win.
Two on, one out, two-two count, and you come through with a huge RBI double.
Tell us, what was your approach to that at bat?
Yeah, I was just trying to hit something in the air, honestly.
You know, get something in the air, scores at least one.
So, you know, I was just honestly very fired up after they walked Rafi to get to me and, me and Rafi had a little thing after that.
It's like, "It's not just Rafi, it's two of us they gotta deal with."
So, the, the boys got my back and, I, I'm glad I, I came through for the team.
Bryce, earlier this year you hit a walk-off grand slam.
Huge, huge moment for you.
Tonight you get a huge hit in a huge situation.
You know, what I've said all along is this time of the year we gotta see some of these young guys play.
But for you, what are you learning as you go along here through this whole season the further it goes along?
Because that, that was a big league at bat tonight for me.
What are you learning as you go along here?
Yeah, I think I've just been getting better at, like, slowing things down, especially in big situations.
You know, after that grand slam you mentioned, I had, I had, I had a lot of bad at bats with runners in scoring position and big moments and, that's something that, me and Hunter Mentz, our hitting coach, have been talking about a lot, is, like, those it's gonna turn around.
And, you know, I stayed confident in those situations, try to, slow things down.
And, you know, lately I've been figuring out I just, I wanna win.
And, being in that situation is huge for me and I, I love that.
I love being in that moment, so I'm glad I'm pulling through.
Bryce, a couple times during the broadcast we saw your grandma Erica, who is in attendance tonight.
Yeah.
You're from not too far away in Virginia.
How special was it to have her there to witness such a big win for the team?
It's awesome.
It means the world to me.
You know, this is the first time she's seen me play in the big leagues.
It's I think the second game she's seen me play professionally.
She saw me play when I was down in, Richmond.
So, very special to me and my family and, there I, I don't even know how to put it into words.
You know, she doesn't move around very well and, I'm just glad she could make it out and I'm hoping that she's gonna make it out into the field.
And, you know, she keeps telling me she's very proud of me and I, I, I love her to death, so I'm just very grateful to, to share a big moment like that today with her and just have her here and, and witnessing me, you know, accomplish and chase my dreams.
First time ever she's seen you at the big leagues.
Yeah.
What an unbelievable thing.
Hey, hey, she may not be moving around well, but she had a smile from ear to ear all game watching you play, buddy.

Oh, yeah.
