Are you comfortable doing this?
You go to Logan Gilbert, who's either one or two, depending on how you wanna look at it, and say, "How are you feeling about this?"
A lot of teams in recent years have gone to six-man rotations because they feel like it gives their guys a better chance to be effective at year's end.
we s- saw the Milwaukee Brewers really become one of the first teams to do this.
The Dodgers have done it.
A- and the reason why the Dodgers do it is because Shohei Ohtani, you know, he Everything is dictated by what Ohtani wants, which is to pitch every Wednesday apparently- that he throws, and then everyone else sort of falls into place around him, and they wind up going through a six-man rotation.
It can work, but you do have to have buy-in from the guys at the top, and I suspect given what we've seen, you know, the fact that they're lining this up tells you that for Wu, for Gilbert, maybe a little bit of a break, a little extra rest in June is something that's gonna benefit them later in the year.
So that was Buster Olney on the podcast on Thursday telling you more about how this works and why it can work.
