SNY MLB Insider Chelsea Janes reacts to the Mets trading relief pitcher Brooks Raley to the division rival Phillies for prospects, and examines a "disciplined" trade deadline process so far for Mets president of baseball ops David Stearns.

The Mets have made another deal.
Brooks Raley, as expected, is headed out.
He's heading to the Philadelphia Phillies, who desperately need the veteran bullpen help.
And in return, the Mets are getting two minor leaguers.
One is the twenty-seventh ranked prospect in their, what is considered, a fairly weak system according to MLB Pipeline.
He's an outfielder, his name is John Spikerman, so another great name.
And the other is a right-handed pitcher named Luke Galbresh, who is starting in high A for them, more than a strikeout an inning, a lot more than a strikeout an inning.
So who knows exactly what they've got there.
What we do know is, A, there's a lot more players to come off the board for the Mets, Holmes, Taylor, maybe Luis Robert, maybe Luke Weaver, so many more deals to come.
And B Did I say A?

This has been a very disciplined approach from the Mets.
Nothing crazy so far.
Trade players, get prospects, move on.
We'll see if that continues, but so far a very disciplined, very David Stearns deadline for the Mets.
