Man, you were stretching the fuel, doing the best you could.

Did you start to believe, "Hey, I, I think this is gonna work out for us?"

I mean, I don't, I didn't know what to think.

I was just trying to stay closed-minded or, and, or open-minded, I guess, on, and just do my job inside the car.

It, Yeah, I mean, obviously whenever they start telling me that we're, we're getting good gas mileage and we're in good position, I'm starting to get excited in there, but just, I don't know, it wasn't, wasn't meant to be.

It was worth the gamble though, correct?

'Cause you'd kinda run 20th to 25th all day.

Yeah, I mean, certainly.

We were mired back in the 20s and, and so I, I think it was a amazing gamble.

So, just, you know, that, the situation is so hard because ob- ob- you don't know if you're racing for the win, if you're racing to finish the race.

And so I, I didn't stop shifting until about 10 to go, where I left it in fifth, and then, you know, I, I certainly coulda given up more pace and fallen back and, you know, maybe, maybe finished into the, I don't know, outside the top 10.

It woulda been a net gain, but we ended about where we were running all day.

I wanna ask you about your day inside the car.

Number one, how is the wrist doing, and, and how was the day managing all that you were doing, as you said, driving one-handed?

so whenever the field got strung out, I felt fine.

Like, running by myself, I felt like it was normal.

certainly, you know, adverse conditions, like whenever people make quick moves on restarts, you get put three wide or, the car gets loose, things like that are, are very difficult.

Like the wreck in turn four, I had to, just kinda the wheel got jarred a little bit.

So, under normal circumstances I think I, I'm, I'm fine, but certainly, you know, restarts and stuff are very difficult.
