Diamondbacks' Nolan Arenado reflects on 2,000th career major league hit

Veteran Nolan Arenado wondered if and when he'd get to 2,000 career hits. He did it on July 20 at Chase Field in the Diamondbacks' loss to the A's.

Your thoughts on 2,000.

Yeah.

It's pretty cool.

You know, obviously I'm just It feels really good.

I'm not gonna lie.

This one feels good.

You know, I try not to talk about things like that whenever I get some accomplishments, but this one feels pretty good, I'm not gonna lie.

So, you know, it's, you know, I just thank God that I've been healthy enough to co- do it.

It's really cool.

I'm happy to do it here.

You know, a team that wanted me.

And, you know, it feels good.

I, I, I don't know what else to say, but it's kinda tough when you lose too, you know?

So it's like I'm kinda like mixed emotions right now.

But, you know, it's been a lot of work.

You know, at one point, you know, when, as I was going through my career I was like, "I'm not gonna get there."

And then the last couple years I'm like, "I don't even think I'm gonna get there."

So, you know, it's, it's kinda cool to be in this position now.

So, you know, just thankful for all the help I've had through the coaches here, the coaches I've had before, my teammates, everybody.

It's been, pretty cool.

So.
