I'm Adam Weiner, joined by Fancied MLB insider Robert Murray to wrap the week.

Happy trade deadline week.

I hope it treated you well.

I hope you got everything that you wanted under your stocking.

Uh, again, if you left milk and cookies out for Jeff passed, and I hope you ate them, enjoyed them, and left you a long column on why the Dodgers' inherent financial advantages, giving them the edge in the Tara Goble chase and helping to ruin baseball.

Uh, but those Dodgers are slumping, six-game losing streak as we record this, we will see you on this show.

On Friday.

Uh, so, hey, maybe the Dodgers turn it around, but for now, it is time to talk post-trade deadline threats to potentially beat those slumping Dodgers and sleeping giants at the edges of the playoff race.

I've got some thoughts on teams that I think could actually make a run.

The bottom of the AL wild card is completely wide open.

There's a clear team lurking that probably has the goods to get it done, but also, do they just have the goods to straight up win their division and Anyway, nothing is settled, far from done and dusted now as we head around the corner to the final 45-ish games of the season , and to take me through what he's seeing post-deadline expectations and how the moves will potentially affect these races.

Is Robert Murray, Robert, longest week of the year, except for maybe the winter meetings, uh, I guess those are worse, but are those gonna happen?

We don't know.

So for now, it's the trade deadline week that takes that top spot and how are you surviving?

I'm, I'm pretty tired.

I'm not gonna lie.

I'm, uh, definitely better than I was even a couple of days ago, but I've, I've got vacation coming up, which is gonna be incredible where I can disconnect and not be on my phone.

We kind of might be trying to confirm a little bit of news here before the show or, or during the show.

Uh, so hopefully that comes to fruition and we can drop that here.

Uh, but it is good to be here with you.

It is a, I don't know, it's a pleasure to be here with you.

I'm telling you, we got plenty of stuff, plenty of stuff to discuss.

Uh, I'm slurring my words, so, you know, that's why it's gonna be a good podcast.

But, uh, Let's get weird, babe.

Let's talk some ball.

How are you doing, Adam?

Good.

I mean, yeah, hit that vacation, it'd be nice to , I want one of those on the docket.

I mean, the closest I can get is I'm going to Yankee Stadium tomorrow, but that's never a vacation based on watching this offense play live.

So, uh, Gerritt Cole v. Chris Sale on Old-Timers's Day, that's what we call an old-timers matchup .

Uh, I am good if you are a baseball Insiders's watcher or this is your first time, you're here regularly, what have you.

Uh, we have done two straight years of shows that have ended with the Dodgers winning the World Series.

Um, the first one was the Dodgers meeting the Yankees in MLB's preferred World Series, and then the Dodgers just running them over, uh, playing big ball, playing small ball, doing whatever they had to do to put pressure on the Yankees' defense, and it worked.

Last year it was the Dodgers.

Barely edging the upstart Blue Jays in game 7, and it took a lot to get there.

It took a Max Muncy home run in the 8th, a Miguel Rojas home run in the 9th, a crazy Andy Pajes, KK Hernandez play, IKF's toenail, all this stuff, uh, Yoshinobu Yamamoto coming out of the bullpen and getting Alejandro Kirk to grind into double play, one of the most improbable game 7 we've ever seen, we will ever see, but all this to say, the Dodgers keep collecting star power, but one of the These World Series wins, it was just sort of a fait accompli, tip your cap.

One of them, it was much, much harder.

They're back to back champions because of 100 different crazy cascading events.

People are sort of saying, oh, this year's a wrap, you know, we gotta call it , it's, they got Scoble, they got Kyle Tucker, it's gonna be the Dodgers again.

That pitching is relying on a lot of injury bouncebacks.

That line-up, and Kyle Tucker has not been a $60 million dollar man this year.

So, you blame the Dodgers' financial advantage for being able to reel him in, but he has Hasn't exactly done the requisite damage.

The bullpen is emptying, there are a lot, again, Justin Robley probably gonna be getting big innings, Rokki Sasaki gonna be getting big innings out there.

The Dodgers are still the favorites to win the World Series, but this feels like last year where you could convince, last year, I thought the Brewers were gonna give them a real chance, they didn't.

You could convince me this year entering the playoffs, that the Brewers, that the Cubs, that they're maybe a couple of teams in the American League are gonna have a real shot at this thing.

Uh, Robert, what about you ?

The 6-game losing streak for the Dodgers, Red Sox got 3 off them, Cubs got 3 of them, the Cubs series was incredibly exciting.

Sox series was kind of just the Sox putting their foot on them.

Uh, if you had to pick the 3 biggest threats to the Dodgers' throne right now, who are they and how many of them are in that National League?

I would say 2 of them, maybe at this point, possibly 3.

It's, it's like the team that I'm still not sure about, depends on a few different things.

Uh, like Philadelphia would be one of them, but I would also look at, I think the biggest threat to the Dodgers is going to be the Milwaukee Brewers, and they're a small market team, low revenue, like, a very low payroll, but they are a team that is extremely pesky, and they are a very difficult opponent because they're so good on the base paths.

Uh, they put the ball in play.

The only issue I have with that team is do they have enough slug to keep up with the Dodgers and I would expect those games against them to be relatively low scoring, uh, because both pitching staffs are so good, but, um, I think the Brewers have a really good chance, especially with Mirowski looking like how he has.

Kyler Harrison, he's gotta figure out the cramping stuff, like, having cramps in both calves, that can't happen, but when he's on, on the mound and actually healthy, he's phenomenal.

And the Dustin May trade, uh, he was one of the few guys that they envisioned internally being like true difference makers in a playoff rotation.

And I immediately after that trade was made, I had someone who I really trust in ball tell me that May is probably going to be a superhuman in Milwaukee.

So, I would look at the Brewers as possibly like a real serious threat and also getting the bullpen upgrades that they did with Jojo Romero and then also Antonio Sensatella.

Uh, we shouldn't discount those as well.

So the Brewers immediately to me, stand out.

Uh, the Chicago Cubs too, like the vibes in Chicago right now are really fun.

Uh, and PCA is definitely worthy of being in the MVP conversation.

I know there's been some debate about that today, um, but I, he's totally worthy and the rest of that roster is really, really fun.

And they got the pitching, like, the pitching was a big priority for them, for them at the deadline, and they got Clay Holmes , love that trade.

That was one of my favorites of the entire deadline.

They got Kevin Gosman, um, and they also got Zephyr John from the Angels who I continue to hear after the deadline was super coveted among a lot of different contending teams and that was a great trade uh for the Cubs getting him.

I know the, uh, the Ballesteros giving him up was difficult for the Cubs and the Angels really envisioned him as like an offense first catcher and um as someone that they can really build around and he's got a lot of tools in his body.

Um, so they're, they're extremely happy about that one there for sure.

So I would say the Cubs definitely are worthy.

And we gotta put the Boston Red Sox in there now too.

How do you not, how do you not?

Yeah, it's remarkable, the term around there and, uh, I wonder how Craig Breslow is feeling right now because he was public enemy numero uno, um, in that entire city of Boston, and then he's got radio hosts apologizing to him during like mid-interview.

Like it's, it's crazy and like, yeah, I, I feel, I'm happy for Craig Breslow because as I, as I've been saying for a couple of months now, like, The moves he's made, like , a lot of them have actually turned out to be relatively good.

I get it.

Like, he's not the best in terms of like public speaking and can kind of sound robotic at times, but if my GM is robotic and yet makes moves like this, I'm happy with that.

So, good for Craig Breslow, um, and I, they, they.

They've done this against all odds too, like, they've gone, what have they won, 30, are they 30 and 5 in their last 35?

31 and 5 after yesterday's game, which was arguably the craziest of them all, where they erase a 4-0 lead early, I mean, erase it very quickly, it goes from Uh, it was 4-0 in the 3, 5-5 in the fourth, so we're not talking about a long-term 4-0 lead, but they go down 7-5, 7-6 down to their last strike, tie that up, tie it up in the 10th, in the 11th, in the 12th, winning in the 13th.

31-5 puts them up against, I've been doing the Red Sox stats, I mean, I've been doing it for weeks, but they , that takes them, they're 25 of their last 20.

28 that puts them up against the 2017 Indians, the 2013 Dodgers, 2017 Dodgers did it, the Moneyball A's did it.

Now, these are weirdly teams that did not win the World Series.

So, it's not necessarily a guarantor.

I can't zip the Red Sox right from now, immediately into the Fall Classic, but if you are looking at that, and they have swept.

swept, not won, 6 series from first-place teams this year, which hasn't been done since ever in the expansion era.

No team in the expansion era has done that.

So, I, I, I can't just, like, stamp them and say you're going to the World Series, and when you get there, go ahead and you'll face the Dodgers, cause I can't stamp the Dodgers either, but if you're watching the Red Sox and just saying, fluke, You know, well , they'll cool down eventually.

I mean, yes, they will not be 31 and 5 pace for the rest of the year, but I would caution you against writing this off as a midsummer hot streak and saying, yeah, they'll be cool in September though, and then we'll never hear from them again.

It seems very likely at this point that we will get a Red Sox, Rays ALDS not CS based on the way that things are lining up.

Which is tough cause you want that series to go 7 games, but also, the winner of that is gonna be in a great position to represent the American League.

And, uh, yeah, if you're just, if you're writing this off as some fluke because the lineup is greater than the sum of its parts, um, which it is, I, I would tell you not to do that, this is a baseball team, and if they are as relentless as they were, Yesterday, Thursday, August 6th, the finale of a regular season series that they'd already won, where their starter Ranger Suarez was out after 3 innings.

Then what are they gonna be like in October?

I just, they're not going to forget to be that aggressive when it's the playoffs.

So I would just caution everybody who's writing them off, that, like, if they can summon that gear for a random ass regular season game in a series they've already won, and don't need to sweep.

What are they gonna look like when the playoff lights are on?

No, I, I, I'm super high on them, and it's also true, like, going back to the playoff series that you mentioned, the possible ALDS against the Red Sox and and the Rays, it kinda reminds me of, of, of a few years ago when the Padres had that lead against the Dodgers.

It was 2 to 1, best of 5 series, and the Dodgers came flying back.

The Padres didn't score a run in the last two games.

Uh, after that series, the Dodgers knew.

The Padres were the best team that they placed, that they've faced, and that they would face in the entire postseason.

So, like, internally there, they're thinking, OK, we're, we're probably going to end up winning the World Series, or at least going to the World Series, and who knows after that.

I wonder if whoever ends up coming out of that matchup and on top there, ends up thinking the exact same thing and has just added confidence there as well.

Again, it's like, I don't know, but it's, that would make for a phenomenal series because the Rays.

I mean, the Rays are just, they're always exceeding expectations.

They got the star power now with Junior Camano, and then you have this Red Sox team that was once the biggest underdogs, or one of the big underdogs in the entire season after their start, firing their manager, and then now they're just going this massive.

It would be a phenomenal series.

I would almost guarantee that it would go 5 games, and I think it would come down to probably the last 23 innings, which tremendous baseball, like that'd be just incredible to watch.

I would agree with you, and, and look, the Yankees, I guess, could crash this party and screw up that, that series, but with runners in scoring position since June 1st, 199 batting average hit 29th in, in the league, 274 OBP that's 30th, 29th best slug, 30th in OPS.

So, they are also that bad without runners in scoring position, they are that bad without Aaron Judge.

So, they get their pieces back, if they somehow end up in this 4 or 5 with the Red Sox going to Fenway Park or hosting at Yankee Stadium, that's also peak baseball, that could be interesting, but as of this moment, it seems quite likely that I would favor the Sox over the Yankees or whoever else they face in that 4 or 5, and then a series with the Rays could easily determine the AL favorite.

Um, but I don't want to neglect another team in the American League.

So I'm gonna open up the AL race for you right now in the wild card specifically.

The Yankees and Red Sox have some distance between them.

In fact, there is no other team in the playoff picture over 500 in that wild card.

The Rangers at 57 and 58 occupy the third spot, the Twins, Guardians, and Orioles right behind.

But, the Detroit Tigers.

The three best run differentials in the American League, Yankees at +81, the Red Sox at +77, and the Red Sox were over, they were in the green basically all year.

So, when they were so far under 500, everyone was going.

What the hell's going on?

Like, they're, they're pitching like crazy and they, they can't hit, so they can't figure out, like, it's just all, it's wonky, it's not working.

Now, that team is the Detroit Tigers, who have a better run differential than the Red Sox and one run worse than the Yankees at plus 80.

They're just a game out of the wild card, and after the Red Sox 3-game swept the White Sox at Fenway, the Tigers are just out of the central, too, so.

I want to put them in the playoffs very badly, and and there are multiple paths for them to get there, but I'm curious, your thoughts on the Tigers?

Are you counting them out of either the wild card or the division, and then what about the rest of the AL?

If they win the division, who gets that wild card?

And the Guardians, the White Sox, these teams are really scuffling right now.

No, it's a totally fascinating one because immediately after The Terry School trade.

I think you, me, everybody across baseball immediately thought, OK, this is gonna be a crazy sell-off in Detroit where they moved Casey Meyers, which, you know what, they did.

I thought Glaber Torres would be going, I thought Kenley Jensen would be going, and I was expecting some others here to go, but they signaled out of Detroit that they wanted to still go out and compete this season, and The Padres gave him an offer that they couldn't turn down for Casey Mize, so they moved on from Mize, but they still have their eyes on competing, and as we look at it right now, they're only 1 game out of that wild card spot, but if you look at it here too, you have the Twins for a half game out, you got the Guardians a half game out, Baltimore game out, Detroit game out, Seattle's a game and a half out, and then you have the Blue Jays at 3.5 out.

We should not be discounting here the presence of the Mariners and the Blue Jays by any means of the imagination.

Like, they were, they were two of the best teams in the American League last year and, and the Mariners ended up going out and they got better.

They got, um, Taylor Warren, which I thought was a really good move there, and they were trying a bunch of different scenarios here with Emerson Hancock and George Kirby.

Obviously, those didn't get across the finish line by any means.

They also held on to Randy Rosaino, so there's still a team that Has the pitching to compete and they got an offensive upgrade with Taylor Warton.

You would expect him to be a better, uh, power hitter, um, well, I mean, he struggled power like with his power in Baltimore, but I know Seattle is a tough place to hit, but I would still expect him to be better in, in Seattle than he was in Baltimore.

And then you have Toronto, where, yeah, they moved some guys, Dalton Varsha, Jeff Hoffman.

Uh, some of these other guys here as well, but they also added Jose Soriano, and they kept Max Scherzer, um, and I'm telling you, I, I'm not discounting him by anything.

I know it's been ugly.

I know it has not been the season that they wanted in Toronto, but they're still very much in striking distance there.

So I'm monitoring those two teams, and let's say at least 1 or 2 get in the mix there.

Like, who ends up missing the postseason then, like, I don't know.

I could it be the obviously the Red Sox and the Yankees at this point, seem like they're in a pretty good spot to.

They got a pretty good grasp on things, but could they overtake the Rangers there?

Like, that, I think this entire mix between what, the 656 teams here is going to be an absolutely bonkers race to follow, so I have no predictions at this point.

I think it's just gonna be pure madness, though.

My only prediction, and it's barely a prediction, is that if We're gonna count the Jays out, we're gonna do it next week, which is the final Challenge series of the year.

The Red Sox are going there for 4.

So, if the Red Sox aren't gonna get hotter, and that's not a dig, like, you can't get hotter, no one's ever been hotter.

So, it's not meant as an insult, you're, they're gonna lose baseball games at some point.

The Toronto Blue Jays have them at home for 4, with a rotation that they reinforced with Jose Soriano and and Spencer Arrigeti, who's, you know, coming off the aisle or something, but like, controllable arms, they're gonna have for the stretch run and beyond.

They are not currently in the mix, not in that top pack, but either at the end of that series, they will be within shouting distance or it'll be all over for them, is my somewhat bold prediction.

Um, a lot of Doomer content coming out about the Orioles this week too, just the locker room sort of gutted post-Adley trade, Buster Olney reminded everybody that Gunner Henderson's a Scott Boris client and, hey, he's probably not coming back, which, I guess, you know, get your licks in this week and Orioles fans are already down, just be like, hey, check the ledger of Orioles players, somebody else you love is gonna leave.

I don't know why we had to do that this week, but He's also having a tough year, Gunner, so Gunn Henderson's free agency, not top of mind for me, but, um, thoughts on those, those Orioles, who are subject to a lot of, again, people writing them off and fans writing eulogies and elegies for an era and David Rubenstein saying this makes me sick and whatnot, but they're right there too, like, thoughts on them making their way into the playoff field.

I mean, I would definitely would not discount it by any means, but they also, like, that's an emotional gut check in moving a player like Ali Ruchman, and immediately I've used this comp a bunch on this show and I'm gonna end up using it again, um, here with the Aley trade is.

I was around the Brewers when they ended up moving Josh Hader, and they were still in contention, they were doing their thing, they're right in the mix.

They moved Hater, they had visions of going on and adding.

They didn't, and their season just totally collapsed starting in Pittsburgh.

And I have a bad feeling that might end up happening here, um, with the Orioles, because Adley was a player that Mike Elias was super close with, uh, that was one of his first moves in Baltimore, um, and then you also have the emotional element in the clubhouse where he was going to the movies with a bunch of players there, and he got informed, oh, like, you're getting moved to Boston.

And the players were just devastated, like it was, it's a really tough deal there, and then they move a guy like Taylor Ward.

And that signals the clubhouse, oh yeah, like maybe our front office doesn't actually think we can go out and compete this season here.

And that's a really tough deal, especially if you look at it, they're only a game out of this thing, um, right there.

Yeah, they're right there, and their front office sold off and like, I get the vision from Mike Elias, um, and like adding the prospects that he did, like if I was him, I probably would have taken that year as well.

Um, but I worry about the long term ramifications of that deal overall.

And then you have the, the Gunner Henderson element.

Uh , like, I think Buster was right in the fact that he will not be doing an extension before free agency cause that's just is not something that Boris has done.

Well, besides Cooper Pratt, uh, he just does not do that, but Um, I would be really shocked if we saw a deal between now and his free agency.

We'll not rule anything out when it comes to free agency, Baltimore should have money to spend, um, but it's, it's gonna ultimately come down to the highest bidder.

That's just how the Boris sweepstakes always go.

The other part here is the Jackson Holliday element.

Um, he was being talked about in trades, like that was a real thing.

Um, could that be a conversation that's revisited here in the offseason?

Is that gonna be something that they stopped talking about?

Um, but that core that was supposed to have so much promise there, Adley's gone, Gunner, now you have question marks about what his future looks like.

Is Jackson Holliday going to be there long term?

For as good as it looked, it's a, it's another sign that nothing is certain in baseball, and it's possible that that core could really end up being gone here in a couple of years.

That's why you have to hop on the window when you can, a very Underwhelming series of playoff series for that Orioles core that is already being torn apart.

So we'll see if they factor into the playoff race anyway.

If there's no, there's no ruling them out.

Um, one last look to the NL playoff field, these races are not over either, uh, and they move quickly.

You wanna talk about nothing being certain.

The Pirates are alone in the NL Central.

This is a Pirates podcast.

Uh, and the rotation is the weakest part of their roster at this point.

Paul Skenes has a 5 ERA over the last month and a half, 2 months.

Like, this is not the Pirates team we were promised, and yet it's one of the top offenses in the NL.

Uh, incredible argument to extend, extend Brandon Lou these past few weeks, quite frankly.

Um, thoughts on the NL playoff field where a team like the Pirates is now sitting in last.

Inexplicably got, uh, you know, the fallen back re seeded.

Reds have caught them, but the Reds schedule in September is too crazy for me to say, hey, that's a playoff team.

You are mostly looking at a big jumble plus the Diamondbacks and Padres.

Uh, so, thoughts on that group and thoughts on how the Pirates specifically can right the ship and take advantage of.

Sort of a wide open race where they have one of the best rosters remaining, uh, again, run differential Kings, like, they outclassed the Phillies and Diamondbacks plus 24 right now to just +2 and +3, but they can't get that pitching align and Paul Skenes' velocity is a problem they can't seem to solve.

No, the Paul Skenes thing is baffling, and you expect him going out on the mound, you're expecting at least 6 or 7 innings, um, with maybe 2 or less runs allowed, and yet, Uh, he's not pitching, like, to his abilities whatsoever, and it's just, it's totally confusing here, and do you give him a little breather if you're the Pirates or what like what exactly do you go out and do?

But it's It's something where he is the key to that team, and if he's not going, then they're not gonna be going, and they don't have a, it, it's just, it's a really tough one because it's the exact opposite of what they had last year, where their offense was pooh poo, but their, their pitching was really good, and now it's just totally flipped here, which shows how crazy baseball can be, but that being said, They're only 4.5 games out of a out of a wild card spot there.

They got a revamped bullpen, like I know with how they've been playing lately, it's not good, but that being said, it will get better.

I still think that they have a chance of getting to the postseason, um, but it's gotta start sooner rather than later, otherwise they're gonna fall too far, too far back here.

But the rest of this playoff race here, uh, Arizona is extremely pesky.

I don't think there's any team.

Out there who wants to play Arizona, because the way that they play baseball and how hard they play, and how difficult they put, how they, how difficult they make it on their opponents, uh, they're really tough matchup.

So that is a team I think a lot of folks would be very happy that would miss the postseason or if they ended up missing the postseason, uh, but I'm also looking at the San Diego Padres.

I know it was not exactly ideal here for Casey Mize, but This is an AJ Preller team where he, it was, he, he, he made some good moves at the deadline.

He's still got a very talented roster, and he kept that bullpen intact.

I cannot stress enough how important that was in San Diego.

I'm, I think the Padres make this thing.

I really do, and they could end up making some serious noise there.

If you get Machado doing this thing, you get Tatis doing his thing.

That is a really difficult postseason matchup for any team.

Do I, do I think that they win it all?

Probably not, but I do think if they go into the postseason, they're gonna be very capable of making some noise, so I'm definitely not ruling them out.

Miami, I'm not, I'm not feeling very good about them.

Cardinals, like they've had a great season, they've exceeded expectations, not overly.

Optimistic that they're gonna be able to continue doing this, that bullpen, that bullpen's cooked.

Exactly, but if we're looking at a team that's at least 4 games back, the Pirates to me stand out as the, as the best team or the best bet there to possibly get into the postseason among those teams.

I 100% am aligned with you, and I am sorry to the Cincinnati Reds, like, I want to give you more respect, but here's what you've got waiting for you in September.

Padres, B.

Brewers at home, at Dodgers, at Brewers, then you come back home, face the Dodgers again for 4, and then face the Cubs for 3, and then you have a day off.

So rest up and go to Atlanta and face the Braves.

I've never seen a schedule like this in my life.

That is brutal, and I'll, I'll tell you, the more I have thought about it, I do not understand their deadline one bit, and like, even hearing their schedule.

Like that, I mean, you can't sell off because of your schedule, but like that being said, like they had to understand exactly where they were in this picture here.

And the talk about putting the qualifying offer on Brady Singer, I, if I was him, I would not do that.

I think that'd be an extremely obvious one for him to take, and I would make his free agency decision really easy and give him that certainty that he's gonna end up wanting there, but you have him, Tyler Stevenson, like, I don't know if I'm allowed to say the ask on, on this program here yet, but it was a lot.

And that should have been one where you get a good prospect back and you take it.

A good prospect and maybe a lottery ticket.

I mean, maybe that's, that's what we're looking at there, but they were seeking too much.

They held on to him and he's probably going to depart in free agency for nothing, which That was such a missed opportunity by them.

There were so many teams looking for catching, and they just got too cute with it in Hollando.

I just, I didn't get that.

Yankees got too cute with it too, but nobody wound up with Stevenson, hey, weigh in in the comments in the Discord, let us know.

Dodgers or the field for you, and who's your final playoff team in the AL and the NL.

Uh, hey, Robert, one more thing before we go.

Could, could it possibly be Mitch Garber as a, as a fit for the New York Yankees?

That is one that I think would be.

Uh, a, a relatively good one, some good depth.

I think that might be one, based on the text I just received, probably a good one to keep an eye on.

Interesting, uh, worth watching, I would say.

How quickly can you get there?

Uh, look, join us in Discord, listen to this podcast on either YouTube or your favorite podcast platforms.

Check out the subtext, that is in the episode description.

We will see you next week.

Uh, Robert, you'll be here Monday, right?

We'll, uh, we'll be chopping it up.

I will be here Monday and then I'm off to Canada , which will be incredible.

And, I am excited for you to get some much-needed time off.

We'll be here Wednesday and Friday with special guests, special guests from Sports Illustrated on Wednesday, and then, uh, stay tuned for a mystery guest on Friday.

Uh, it'll probably be somebody cool, I would say, uh, but until then, yeah.

Well, also, we didn't get a mystery team this deadline.

What the heck's going on with that?

No, I didn't, well, were the Reds the mystery team cause just everything they did was a mystery.

You know what, you just, you just saw that there was a mystery team.

It kinda feels like it was the Reds out there.

Um, no, not a lot of mystery team intrigue, a lot of fated fait accompli deals.

We all knew Scoball Dodgers was gonna happen, but, uh, it does not make them the unabated favorite for me.

I'm still taking the field, but it's up to the Dodgers to prove me wrong.

Magic moments make three repeats.

Right now, they're all residing in Boston.

We will see you next week.

Take care, everybody, for Robert Murray, I'm Adam Weiner here with the Baseball Insiders.

Thank you, everybody.
