I think I have two guys that stand out as playmakers, and yes, I am that high on Caleb Downs.
I know he's a rookie, but I am gonna use Caleb Downs for this bucket, man.
I think he's an immediate playmaker.
He's a surefire tackler.
He's a missile that moves from sideline to sideline with ease, and maybe he's not the ultimate ball hawk, but he's gonna be around the football one way or another, so he's one of those three defensive playmakers.
If he can stay healthy, Demarvin Overshown also goes on this list, 'cause he was a sack producer in 2024.
He was consistently making plays behind the line of scrimmage because of his ability to shoot the gap, to be super explosive, to accelerate at insane speeds.
If he's healthy, man, Overshown should be one of those playmakers.
Last week, a couple weeks ago actually, Overshown talked about his role on the Christian Parker defense, and he alluded to some s- things being schemed up for him, unlike in 2025 under Matt Eberflus.
So Overshown should have a big year, man.
I'm gonna bet on him to be one of those three defensive playmakers.
Maybe one of your best bets to be that third defensive playmaker on the team, maybe it's Daron Bland
