Edwin Díaz looked sharp in his first rehab outing Saturday night, just over two months after undergoing surgery to remove loose bodies in his elbow💪The Dodgers closer struck out two batters and allowed one hit, with his fastball touching 98 mph. Díaz says he's feeling great with the increased motion in his elbow.

The trumpets were loud tonight at ONT Field.
Edwin Diaz taking the field for his first rehab outing with the Tower Buzzers in his first game action since April 19th.
A little bit more adrenaline than throwing live BP, so it was good.
You know, my adrenaline was great.
I calm my emotions.
Now, he struck out two batters, both swinging, in one inning of work, allowed one hit through 11 total pitches, with eight of those being strikes.
And maybe most exciting, his fastball velocity hit 98 miles per hour.
That's higher than it was before he had surgery to remove those loose bodies in his elbow.
I got more motion now in my arm.
So before I was a little bit locked up.
Now I got more motion, so I gotta find a way to, execute my pitches better.
Today was really good.
You know, my first and my life was missing a little bit with both, with both my pitches.
Today it was sharp.
Now the plan is for Diaz to make a few more of these one-inning rehab outings before the trumpets start to play again at Dodger Stadium.
How I threw the ball today, I think I will need maybe three, three more, two more, three more, four more maybe at the most.
I feel really good.
I just gotta keep, you know, showing them I'm ready.
My arm's feeling great, and just them let them make the decision to bring me back.
He also helped contribute to the team budget for lunch and dinner today.
The chefs served barbecue for lunch and are having lobster tails for dinner.
Certain to say everyone is leaving ONT Field happy tonight with Diaz making his way back to the Dodgers.
