It's, it's bittersweet.

It's crazy that it's the end and I've, I'm going into year two, like my sophomore season.

I haven't been here long enough.

Like, I haven't experienced Connecticut, I haven't experienced the fans long enough.

But I'm blessed for the time that I have had and the time that I have coming up this season.

It means a lot to me.

I'm a part of history.

A lot of people don't get an opportunity to do that.

Being able to be around amazing fans, but also thinking about the process of people that paved the way for us, the players that were here before us, how the fan base was before, how the visibility is for women's sports now has all grown, and I'm a part of that.

A lot of people are really sad to see them go, which shows like how, how rich and how wanted the team is here, and how much people really care.

You know, like if, if they were leaving and everybody was just like, "Okay," you know, like you, you knew something wasn't built here.

But something was really built here strong with a strong fan base.

To come back here and to share this one last season, this one last moment with this franchise is, it's amazing.

It's a bit emotional.

I feel like it won't really hit me until we start the season.

But it means the world that I'm gonna be playing with pride, playing with gratitude, and also just playing for the fans, for the supporters, and what basketball means in this state.

I'm so grateful that I get to be, you know, not just a part of this organization, but a part of a historic season.

And I think we've already, well, I've already felt, you know, the love and loyalty that this, fan base has.

We had an open practice and, you know, the whole side of the stadium was filled up with people who wanna come and watch just us train for 30 minutes, you know?

And I wasn't expecting that at all.

So seeing them come out, I just think it makes me want to, you know, go out there and play harder even more just for them.

I think we owe it, all of us owe it to the fans to give our be- put our best foot forward and give them the best experience that they can have, and memories that will last a lifetime, you know?

And I think our players understand that, and our coaches and staff.

And, I feel like in return our fans are gonna give us their very best.

It being our last season here in Connecticut, we really wanna make it a special one.

I think that the group that we have here is super special just with the energy that we bring every single day.

It means everything.

I think the fans have give From what I've heard in just even the short time I've been here, the fans have been incredible.

so I think it's important that we do everything we can to give back to them for all they've done for us.

so I'm just grateful that I get to be part of this historic franchise.

Really excited about our opening weekend, and I think it's just like the craziness has kind of led us to this like really cool moment of kicking off the first of the last in a way.

So it really means a lot that we, you know, got to this point.

Had to put a lot of work to get there, but it's really exciting.

Whenever people talk about this season, like it's not a I- it is like a goodbye, but at the same time we just wanna go out there and put on for the fans and, really be a team that everyone can be proud of.

And we're gonna play our hardest and, you know, compete to the best of our ability.

And in doing that, bring everyone along with us.

I'm just really excited to get it started, get it rolling, and really give the fans something to remember us by.
