Guardians’ Jose Ramirez Back on Track After Series Win Over Yankees
Cleveland Guardians Jose Ramirez has silenced any concerns after a big series against the New York Yankees.

Just last Sunday, Chris Antonetti talked about how Jos Ramrez may not have the overall stats to show that he's putting together a respectable season.
But there's been a lot of things "under the hood" that point to Ramrez getting back on track soon or hopefully giving the Guardians lineup the boost and getting back to where he's been throughout his entire career.
And just right after those comments were made, during Cleveland's first two games against their series against the New York Yankees, Ramrez truly looks like he is fully back on track and heading back into the right direction.
And finally, some of those underlying stats are starting to show up on the field and in the box score as well.
Just to give a couple of numbers, Ramrez through the first two games of the series, he ha- he's going six for nine, including three doubles and a home run.
He's responsible for driving in three of the Guardians 14 runs so far in the series.
And Cleveland's victories in both those games are largely thanks to Ramrez and what he's been able to do at the plate.
And as Antonetti alluded to, a lot of those numbers are no-- not that-- shouldn't be a surprise considering what Ramrez has been doing so far this season.
His expected batting average of two eighty-nine ranks eighty-ninth percentile on MLB, and his expected slugging percentage of four sixty-nine ranks seventy-ninth percentile compared to rest of MLB as well.
So the process has been there.
He's been hitting the ball hard.
He's just been waiting for the stats, and he's been waiting for the production to show up on the field, and we're finally starting to see that as well.
And really if there's any place for Ramrez to get back on track in, it's gonna be Yankee Stadium because Ramrez has had some of the most success that he's had at any ballpark, including Progressive Field, at Yankee Stadium throughout his career.
After he had a home run and another double on Wednesday evening, Ramrez is now heading 408-480-731 in thirty-eight games at Yankee Stadium.
And Stephen Vogt said after the game that Ramrez likes showing up to the big moments.
Yankee Stadium is one of the biggest parks in terms of crowd and energy that there is in all of baseball and certainly is showing up to meet that moment as well.
So after this two-game stretch, Ramrez's OPS, season OPS, is back up to 784.
Yes, it's still a little bit lower than maybe he's used to or the Guardians are used to, but he's certainly showing not only with what his expected numbers are, al- and also with what he's doing on the field, that he's certainly getting back on track, which is a great sign for this Guardians lineup.
