We're gonna have to grind, grind, without him for a little bit.
But knowing him, I know he's gonna do everything he can to get back out there as quick as possible.
Was-- Were you over here?
It looked like he was talking to guys, like he offered some motivation.
Is that just- What?
He-- Were you standing over here when he was- No, no, I was in the shower.
Does a day like today kind of speak to what you're talking about, though, just about stepping up the way everyone came in?
Yeah, man.
yeah, we em-- I mean, we had the be- the bench was emptied in like the fifth or sixth, right?
you know, Schneib came up with the, the huge hit for, today's game.
so yeah, I mean, resilient group.
Every-- I mean, everybody played today.
We had, Sacconi in cleats in the, in the dugout 'cause we burned the DH.
obviously Pats, Pats a lot.
I mean, Pat was the last guy on the bench.
I mean, crazy, crazy game.
You and Rhys' performance in left field.
It was him or me.
So I'm, I'm grateful that, you know, he had those reps early in his career.
and he was-- y- I mean, he was-- he's a great teammate.
He was more than willing to, to go out there.
I was kinda like, "I'll do it."
Like, "I'll be a body."
But he's, he's kinda had those reps, so, I mean, yeah, I'm glad he stepped up there.
Were you asked to go potentially play in the outfield or no?
no.
No, I think they, after the f- after Chase and, and Marty kinda left the game, I mean, I was the last.
You can't burn the catcher on the bench, obviously, so I was the last guy.
If something, you know, weird happened, they told me that I would be the first Rhys would go then to left.
