They've been teammates the whole time.
Does this game kind of represent what you try to teach, what you guys say about these guys?
Yeah, I mean, that was a wild start to the game and, you know, no one got sped up.
Everyone was ready, whatever we needed.
these guys stepped up in a huge way on a day that we needed them to.
And, you know, one, that's why we love versatility, but also the, the selflessness of these guys.
Whatever they need to do to help us win a game, they're willing to do it, and I think that was a prototype of that game.
What did you think of Joey?
Joey was phenomenal.
Holy cow.
coming out throwing ninety-four, ninety-six.
The stuff was sharp.
They jumped him a little bit in the first, but, my I can't remember.
Sorry, it's been a lot that's happened since then, but, the inning where the first two guys got on and, got out of there with no runs.
You know, that's, that's an inning that we've seen get away from Joey in the past, like the third or fourth.
But, comes back, gets a couple of punch outs and, I thought Joey was phenomenal.
He th- did everything we asked of him and, that's, that was competing.
He was absolutely competing out there today and, it was a great, great performance.
How are the three guys that left the game?
so Angel, left foot contusion.
no fracture, so he'll be day-to-day.
DeLaughter, when he ran into the wall, right side ribcage contusion.
he's in, he's getting a scan right now, and so we'll have more information in the morning on that.
and Hosie, confirmed left hand maybe fracture.
So we don't know the logistics or the timing.
We should have more information on Hosie in the next couple of days.
What, what Does, did you just know anything that caused that?
it was the swing on the pop-up.
It, he felt it.
he had a similar injury, I think, to the right hand a few years ago.
And, he tried to go back out.
He knew the position we were in, grabbed his glove.
He said, "Maybe I can at least play defense," and we couldn't squeeze his glove.
So Hosie wanted to get back out there to help us win that game.
