Joe Pyfer backs Sean Strickland to beat Khamzat Chimaev at UFC 328

Joe Pyfer said he wants Sean Strickland to beat Khamzat Chimaev, a relevant stake as the middleweight title headlines May 9 at UFC 328 in Newark. On the Death Row MMA podcast, he criticized Chimaev's inactivity and cited Strickland's defense ahead of Sean Strickland vs Khamzat Chimaev. The middleweight title fight is set for Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey, at UFC 328. Strickland lost the belt to Dricus Du Plessis in 2024, fell short in a 2025 rematch, then upset Anthony Hernandez in February. Chimaev is 15-0 and will defend for the first time since winning it against Du Plessis in August 2025.
