Khamzat Chimaev unbothered by Sean Strickland’s death threats
Khamzat Chimaev said he is unfazed by Sean Strickland's rhetoric ahead of their May 9 UFC 328 middleweight title fight, highlighting heightened pre-bout tensions. During UFC 328 media day, Chimaev stated he had waited in the hotel lobby for three days without seeing Strickland and said he does not care about the threats. The undefeated contender, Khamzat Chimaev (15-0), said increased security arranged by UFC president Dana White was to protect Strickland rather than himself. Strickland had warned of a confrontation over team treatment and later issued a violent threat. Teammate Brendan Allen said Chimaev's camp finds the remarks more amusing than intimidating.
