Lebron James is still weighing his options, but one thing is clear, he will not be back with the Los Angeles Lakers for the 2026, '27 season.

There are a number of teams who feel like they can land LeBron in free agency, but how many teams have a real chance at signing LeBron for his 24th season in the NBA?

I view this as a race between two teams right now, and that is the Golden State Warriors and the Cleveland Cavaliers being 1A and 1B options for LeBron James.

It makes the most sense that those two teams would be at the top of his list, and who knows what he's actually thinking.

Rich Paul's the one taking the calls, and he'll lay everything on the table for LeBron, but the Warriors and the Cavaliers make the most sense.

From the Warriors' perspective, teaming up with his once arch rivals in Stephen Curry and Draymond Green, who have now become some of his best friends on and off the court, and potentially winning a championship with the Warriors would be a moment that adds to LeBron's legacy.

Now, a third stint with the Cleveland Cavaliers would also add to his legacy, as this could be a full circle storybook ending where he entered the league as the chosen one and goes out with the franchise that he delivered on his promise to win a championship with back in 2016 when he took down Stephen Curry and the Warriors.

Those two options remain at the very top, but we can't count out the Miami Heat either, who will make a run at LeBron James.

And potentially now after acquiring Jaylen Brown, we have to wonder where the Philadelphia 76ers remain in all this.
