Hauser looked like he was kind of off there in the first inning.
Could you tell what was going on with him?
a, a rhythm or timing thing, and if I was to get more specific with you, I'd be speaking out of turn.
I just know he and Mess kind of hooked up on that, after the first inning, and, you know, he was kind of on it right away during that inning.
you know, had that, they had a visit on it, and I think made a little bit of an adjustment.
It's always an adjustment here with the environment and you know, I don't know, anything can play into it.
I don't know if being shell-shocked, you know, from last night's really a thing with a guy that's been around that long.
He's usually pretty composed.
So, again, I think just a little bit of rhythm and timing in the delivery.
made an adjustment, but at, at that point we were down and, y- you know, just need to We need to take a little more pride, I think, in, how we It's ideal to not have last night occur, but, you know, bounce back, and I got the vibe like we were in a position to do that.
The first six outs we had at the plate would say that.
but getting in a hole makes it a little tougher after that.
Running the pitch out count up as quickly as he did, how does, how does that leave your bullpen?
obviously Borucki gives you two there, which maybe- Yeah, it's a little, it's a little tough because, there were only so many guys available tonight anyway.
you know, we're basically left with a choice to go Brew, after Borucki, but at some point Borucki was gonna have to give us a little bit of length.
so went with Brew and h- and he was sharp and attacked the way you'd want guys to, and then, Borucki basically needed to, to do what he did for us.
What kind of shape are you in for tomorrow then, or- I think much better.
I think much better.
offensively, that, how do you evaluate things after maybe that first couple innings where you talked about- Yeah, it was tough.
I mean, hey, w- we got beat by more than a couple runs, but I, I looked at that American flag.
I like our country, first of all, but also, the small flags in center field don't tell quite as much of a story as that- Yeah United States flag in left field.
And I'm just telling you, the entire game it was either still or going towards the left field foul pole.
And when Bryce hit that ball, I looked straight up at it, and it was pointing straight at me and anyone else that was in the corner of that dugout.
so I don't think you'd call it unlucky, but it just was, two innings of hard contacts but nothing to show for it.
and then from then, I can't speak for Feltner, but maybe he felt confident and gotten a little bit of rhythm.
but after those two innings, it just kind of ended up being a little bit of a blank feel for us.
after that, the at bats weren't bad.
