Tony, I know you've kind of been warned about Coors Field and what can happen here really quickly.
You kind of get your first taste of it.
How would you describe that, that last inning?
Yeah, I mean, the last inning obviously is, a bitter pill, unfortunately one that, we've experienced before.
But, you know, park plays into it a little bit, but truly their, their hitters all took good swings.
It shows you how good Weby is.
I'm sure that's part of a, one of the questions is their hitters took good swings off all of our relievers for the most part, other than maybe Miller.
the double he gave up was just a good, you know, fighting off a pitch with two strikes.
but yeah, good lineup, live park, playing in their home, in front of their home fans, and they executed.
What did you think of Jenhoo's night?
I, I mean, obviously four hits, but also he makes those two catches.
Yeah, I mean, the one catch was, you know, he's always locked in out there, so you got to believe that thing was directly in the lights.
and then the other catch was spectacular, and then just at the plate looked really comfortable, even on some of the swings.
His, his first swing you could tell how anxious he was to get back to playing.
He about came out of his shoes and his batting gloves.
so it was fun seeing him back in the lineup and, and having him active, and then also was impressive at how he kind of picked up where he left off.
You alluded to Webb a little earlier, but what would you say of his night?
Yeah, I thought, you, you know, obviously you'd like to redo a PFP play, and there was the four free bases.
We want to win the game, so really what you're kind of just doing is looking at the scoreboard, and they only scored one run while he was out there.
He put us in a good position.
so, you know, it's not ideal to give up a few free bases, but just having him back out there, the position we were in when he left the game, and then also how good his stuff and, you know, really I think part of the, the walks was guy's not putting the ball in play and his ball moving all over the place, which was encouraging considering, a little bit of time away.
On the, the two, the double steal there- Yeah what, what needs to happen on that?
on that play it was, and you know, it wasn't just a straight steal.
It was kind of a, a planned play there.
so there's a lot of different ways you can attack it.
I mean, we can, you know, just put, put the ball in Weby's hands and eat the ball.
Once we're gonna, you know, potentially throw the ball, you know, the third basement, the third base runner had kind of already taken off.
so you, ideally you want to smell that out, but you got a mask on too.
So ideally you see that and don't fall into the trap because the runner did not have a straight steal break.
and then, you know, Luis was hard on himself.
He was wanting to do a couple other options, either take the out or come get the ball a little bit more aggressively.
but the bottom line is there's five or six ways we could have combated it better.
you could also look at it and say they executed a play well, in that situation.
