He's on the mound tonight, taking on a struggling Dodgers team.

Wrblewski, who's got a bit of a home run issue, which we knew was coming, and boy, did it come in a big, big way his last start.

I, I, you know, the D- again, they're barely a .500 team since July 1st.

I get everyone's all happy it's Gooble, but this is a fascinating series to me, now going on the road, taking on the Cubs here tonight.

Yeah, and we haven't even you know, an hour and a half in, we haven't even looked at any of the games.

Yeah, Dodgers have not- I think this is interesting.

Yeah, Dodgers have not played great, but, yeah, like this is a potential playoff series.

We could see this, uh- Yeah happening.

And, you know, Cubs are gonna be, you know, entering feeling pretty good about their day today.

And, you know, Dodgers are probably saying to themselves, "Man," like, "what happened to us in Boston this weekend?"

You know?

So- you know, maybe they get right.

Can you show those odds to me again?

I wanna see those odds one more time in that game.

So the Dodgers are only minus 120 tonight, Joe?

Yeah.

Like, when is- Yeah when's the last time that that has happened?

Dodgers only a- I- well, like a slight favorite in a game?

'Cause they haven't hit lefties, and Boyd's actually been a pretty good one, uh- Mm-hmm here since coming off the IL.

It's not a great match.

And now if I'm the Dodgers, I need to get out of Chavez Ravine, 'cause it, it was getting a little stale.

They were having it has not been a great stretch for them at all.

But if I'm the Cubs, who had their hands full with the Yankees of all teams here, yeah, I, I wanna come out swinging here tonight.

'Cause you're not having to go up against Ohtani, you're not having to go up against Yamada.

This is a winnable game here for the Cubs.

And you wanna talk about a series that we're gonna see come September, October, San Diego's taking on Arizona in Arizona.

The two teams that you and I said, "Boy, oh boy, don't sleep on them," wrapping up, a couple of wildcard spots.

Brandon Pfaadt versus Michael King.

It's a pick'em price here tonight, which I find fascinating.

Yeah, and, and both teams are gonna be talked about a lot.

San Diego will be the more talked about team, but Arizona, I, I think, you know, to me, still on paper is the better team.

But now you wonder, did San Diego just put themselves a little bit above Arizona with those two- Mm-hmm pitching moves?

You know, I, I how do you judge these two teams on paper in terms of offense, Joe?

I, I mean, I, I kinda look at it and I say to myself, "Would I want Corbin Carroll, Ketel Marte, Newt Bar, Arenado?"

Or on the flip side, do I like, having, Sheets, who's great against, righties, Jackson Merill- Yep Tats- Yep Machado?

I, I, I think I may now lean towards San Diego a little bit.

If you add that starting pitching and you add the back end to that bullpen, what a battle these two teams are gonna have.

And nothing will get decided this week, you know that.

I mean, one team's gonna win two- No out of three.

It's just the way it's gonna go.

But what a fight to the finish for these two teams.

And you're not gonna go through the Dodgers, I don't think.

Either of these teams gonna catch the Dodgers, but it's gonna be, it's gonna be fun.

Th- that division now all of a sudden has become a lot more interesting.
