Melissa, you just came off a s- equaling season's best.
I mean, this deep in the season, couple meets left- Yeah I mean, you gotta be feeling good, right?
I do feel good.
The 10.78 keeps popping up, so obviously the drop is soon to come.
It's a really great meet, I would say, great competition, so, you know, right where I wanna be, going into this last part of the season, so we just gonna see what we got left.
Yeah, we got a chance to catch up with you guys, like at the top of the season last week- Uh-huh last year with the- Yeah Workout Wednesday, and, you know, you just got to race against your training partners again today.
I mean, y'all keep pushing each other to the top.
Kayla just got her first, you know, Diamond League win a couple days in the 200.
Yeah.
Like, how does it feel to see the momentum all of you guys as a group have been having?
It feels amazing because, like I've said it before, but we're all a part of each other's journey.
So when I see stuff like Kayla getting her first Diamond League win, and it happened at her very first professional meet years ago, she going to the same place and being able to get that win, like I resonate with that, but I also see how hard she works day in and day out, and I'm so happy for her.
I love that girl like my mama birthed her.
Aw, that's great.
But no, it's just, it's just really exciting to be a part of, not just watching her grow, but all of us, you know, in a sense in, you know, being able to build on what all of us are trying to do and it being able to benefit each and every one of us.
For sure, for sure.
Last question for you.
As we head towards Ultimates, what are you really planning to do when you get there other than win?
Are you Is it a performance?
Is it just to t- to win?
Like, how are you feeling?
I feel like it's a combination of a lot of things.
Winning, first and foremost.
Obviously, I hope the time comes with it.
You know, I, I really wanna run something fast, but all in all, I just wanna end the season on a really good and high note.
I feel like coming off of Well, this year technically is supposed to be an off year, and me coming off of winning, three gold medals at last year's world championships, I feel like the, expectation for not only, not only the expectation I put on myself, but for others as well, has been really, really up there.
And I will say I spent the, most of the year trying to figure out how to balance that out, how to still be Melissa, and how to rise to the occasion every single time.
But the one thing that I have learned about myself, is that as long as I'm myself, then I'll be fine.
Everything else will continue to work itself out.
As long as I just be Melissa and focus on what Melissa got going on, it'll be fine.
Seems like you got it locked in- and we could all take some tips from that.
Congratulations.
Thank you.
