The Mets' offense came alive behind two home runs from Mark Vientos, giving him four RBIs on the day. The defense was also up to the task, with two great diving catches from MJ Melendez and Carson Benge. Clay Holmes lowered his league-leading ERA to 1.69, going 6.2 innings while striking out six as the Mets defeat the Angels 5-1

Back in the gap, Melendez reaches and dives, and he got it.
Melendez, who got a late start going toward the gap, closes ground and makes the diving play to rob Soler of an extra base hit.

Bench heads to second.
He's in standing with an RBI double, and the Mets get the insurance run they were looking for.

And he drives that one to deep left field.
