Mets rookie left-hander Zach Thornton took the mound at Citi Field against the Red Sox on Sunday and tossed seven scoreless innings, but an error by Francisco Lindor opened the door for Boston to tie the game in the ninth, and push the free runner across in the tenth to defeat the Mets, 3-2.
