NFL Analyst Reveals Why Browns Should Start Shedeur Sanders Over Deshaun Watson

Do you agree with this take?

Video Transcript

Nfl analyst Brent Soboleski of Bleacher Report strongly believes that the Cleveland Browns should start Shooter Sanders over Deshaun Watson next season because the odds of Watson turning back the clock, coming back from a serious Achilles tear are pretty low.

And since making his Browns debut, Watson has the lowest QBR among qualified passers at thirty-three point one.

Meanwhile, NFL Network is reporting that Sanders has played really well at OTAs and has looked a lot better than he did as a rookie.

So the Browns are better suited to start Sanders over Watson to see if Sanders can be their franchise quarterback because all signs point toward Watson not being on the Browns after next season because twenty-twenty s- twenty twenty-six is the final year that his contract is guaranteed in Cleveland.

And while anything is possible in sports, again, the odds of Watson playing like he did in Houston are extremely low.

He's coming back from an Achilles tear.

He's been horrible ever since he got traded to Cleveland, and you'd be hard to find ten fans who want Watson to remain in Cleveland, especially after everything that has happened with him off the field.

So I'm in agree-- in agreeance with Soboleski here.

I think Cleveland should start Sanders, fully evaluate him for an entire season to see if he has what it takes to be a franchise quarterback.

Worse comes to worse, Sanders plays bad, the Browns have a poor record again, and Cleveland is able to take a quarterback in the twenty twenty-seven NFL draft.
