NHL Rumor Roundup: More Blues Trades Coming, Latest Maple Leafs Buzz
The Blues' trade of Nick Bjugstad before the Olympic break could be the first of several moves by them before the trade deadline, while speculation is growing over which players the Toronto Maple Leafs could peddle.

The St. Louis Blues trade of center Nick Bjugstad last week to the New Jersey Devils was overshadowed by the New York Rangers' blockbuster move when they sent Artemi Panarin to the Los Angeles Kings.
But nevertheless, some observers believe the Bjugstad trade could be the first domino in what could be multiple trades by the Blues before the March sixth trade deadline, and that's one of the topics of today's NHL Rumor Roundup column.
Now, the Blues have been a frequent fixture in the rumor mill since last fall, with veterans like Jordan Binnington, Justin Faulk, and Brayden Schenn mentioned as trade candidates.
Robert Thomas has recently come up, in the rumor mill, and that's because of the lack of available, centers in the trade market and the Blues' willingness to listen to offers for most of their veterans.
Meanwhile, there have been, several factors that, could affect the way that the Blues handle, the trade deadline, and one is whether teams would be willing to pay the high asking prices that the Blues have set for their players.
Another is, whether some of those interested teams would be able to free up sufficient cap space to take on some of those players, and of course, the fact that every one of them, and that includes as well, Colton Parayko and Jordan Kyrou, all have some form of no-trade protection.
And speaking of Kyrou, he hasn't come up much in the rumor mill, but TSN's Travis Yost believes that he would be an enticing target for contenders who are looking for speed and scoring on right wing.
Now, the Montreal Canadiens have been linked to Kyrou in the past, and those rumors never fully went away.
But whether Kyrou would be willing to waive his no-trade clause to go to Montreal or anywhere else, or whether the Canadiens remain interested in him, remains to be seen.
