Just wrapped up a session with Brayden Schenn of the St. Louis Blues inside of the locker room after practice, knowing that this could very well be his final practice here in St. Louis because the NHL trade deadline looms on Friday.
And Schenn and a host of other Blues players, rumors have been swirling, names have been bandied about, including his because he has-- doesn't have full no-trade protection anymore, just down to a fifteen-team no-trade clause.
And considering the Blues are twenty-two, twenty-nine and nine on the season, they're second from last in the Western Conference, they're not making the playoffs this year.
General Manager Doug Armstrong has made his, thoughts be known that, this year's play has been embarrassing, among other things.
it's all systems go as far as the Blues are concerned, including players like Robert Thomas, Jordan Kyrou, Pavel Buchnevich, all whose names have been thrown out there, in rumor mills, in the circles.
Players that have full no-trade protection that would need to invoke those clauses or waive in order for something to happen.
But, Brayden Schenn did speak candidly about, what may or may not happen, understands the situation, knows that, by the time that this team comes back and plays its next home game, a week from today against the New York Islanders, there are like-- more than likely will be a different look and a different makeup to it.
